The apartment is awesome - nicely done loft interior, the ceiling is absolutely amazing! The view over Bergamo surrounding is great, although we were not too lucky with the weather, it was rainy and foggy so we could not see the mountains and Milan - a reason to come and stay here again :) There was everything we needed, although a good sharp knife would be a nice addition to the kitchen, which would make cooking more enjoyable. We found the doors a bit weird - it is hard to close and open them without loud bang. A matter of habit perhaps. I am not sure if the apartment is suitable good enough for longer stays by more then 2 people, who also occasionally cook. The reasons are following: there is no dishwasher, the access to the bathroom with toilet is located in the bedroom, so it is limited for people who are not sleeping in the bedroom, the fridge can be pretty loud sometimes. But for several days it should be fine. For couples it is perfect, though, for any amount of time. We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2017 ( from 9 till 11 ) : first night as three people with our friend, who had to leave the next morning, 2nd night - two of us. Unfortunately early on the Monday morning we were woken up by a very loud noise coming from construction site nearby, which we didn't expect. Lucky they did not work on the weekend. But of course it is only a temporary downside. Just make sure before booking and ask Simona in advance, if they have already finished loud construction activities, if you are planning to stay here soon on workdays as well and if you are not used to waking up early :) Or otherwise just take earplugs with you, it should be OK then. But don't get me wrong, overall our stay was indeed very pleasant. The apartment is located very conveniently in the charming Città Alta. Big thanks to Simona for the warm welcome! She is a exceptionally nice and helpful person. She managed to get the parking permit very promptly, only in a couple of hours advance. Make sure you send her a correct plate number, otherwise the camera on the parking area will not register your car as eligible for parking. We somehow misspelled one letter and may soon receive a ticket as a consequence. There was also plenty of coffee, toast, butter, jam and cookies for breakfast in the apartment, which was really nice. Bergamo is a very pretty town even during the bad weather, not so popular among tourists as Milan, so I think it is one of my favorites now :) We would be very glad to stay in Simona's apartment again in the future and highly recommend it to everyone, especially to couples!
