The space

Your private room is nicely decorated with a chic beach vibe. Your queen size bed has a bounty of pillows to choose from, a light-weight quilt, blanket and all other necessary bedding is included. Your private bathroom is contained within the footprint of your private room and has a terrific shower and large mirrored vanity making it easy for couples to get ready in the morning. Bath towels are included. This terrifically sized room also has a small couch for lounging. Last, but not least, a large sliding glass door can be opened to enjoy your very own private balcony; the perfect spot to drink your coffee, have lunch and or people watch. And because it’s right on Orange Ave there is some traffic noise.

Coronado is a lovely island. But this spot is not on a quiet back street but on the main street of town right where traffic from the bridge turns onto it. If you are a light sleeper the noise and light of the street could be a problem. The room faces the street. It is up a flight of stairs, so only bring luggage you can easily carry up.

Didn't get to meet John but the room was upscale, clean and comfy. Well worth it for me.

Great location in Coronado. Short trip to the Hotel Del Coronado and the beach. Easy to find location right on the main road coming onto the "island".

Response from John:
Dana and his wife were very nice guests. They only stayed for less than a day but communicated well and were very respectful.

John (and Haley!) were very friendly and wanted to make us feel at home. The location is central to everything, and the space is very comfortable with a cute balcony. It was spotless too. Highly recommend!

John was extremely courteous and accommodating during our visit. John was very friendly and easy to work with. John's place is just a few minutes walk from several restaurants, markets and Centennial Park. The fact that he had a pair of bikes for us to use during our stay was fantastic! Overall great experience.

I am originally from a small town in Texas but when I had the opportunity to move to San Diego, I did not hesitate. I work close enough to bike to work but on my days off I like to cruise the coastline in my truck with my girl and my dog to check-out local breweries, restaurants and pubs. The live'n is easy especially when you get to live in Coronado just blocks from the beach!
