Welcome to our Santa Barbara Ocean Getaway which is the best value for a 2BR/2BA in Santa Barbara. It is unmatched for its location, quality and price!

There are 200+ 2BR/2BA (780 in total) vacation rentals in the 'Santa Barbara Area' and of these, 125 are supposed to be in 'Santa Barbara'. So how do you chose - location, location, location! And then compare our quality and price....

We are not in Carpentaria, Goleta, Summerland or Montecito. We are also not in the suburbs of Santa Barbara such as San Roque, Mission Canyon, Los Positas etc.

We are in the coveted Historic West Beach area, steps from the beach, Las Banos Public Pool, Stearns Wharf, Harbor, world-class dining, and downtown shops, including our own local farmers market. We are not next to the railroad tracks, highway or on a commercial thoroughfare.

Leave your car and associated traffic/parking worries behind. We even offer RARE off street reserved parking.

The Ocean Getaway resides in a historical turn of the century building and retains the charm of the day’s bygone. It has been lovingly restored to reflect Santa Barbara's style including hand cast plaster, 10 feet vaulted ceilings and Waterford fireplace giving it both a romantic and European feeling.

The sparkling open and fully equipped kitchen was designed with high quality construction, including granite countertops, limestone floors, custom cabinets made by our own local cabinet maker, PJ Mulligan, that are complimented with high end appliances: Subzero refrigerator, Wolf cook top stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, expresso machine and of course a washer and dryer. The dining room table accommodates up to 5.

The warm and cozy living room is a great gathering area with hardwood floors, Waterford fireplace, 50-inch Plasma TV and stereo to add to its ambiance. The leather couch has a queen size sleeper and accompanies two comfortable over-stuffed venetian chairs and an antique Louis VIV desk. Complimentary broadband wireless internet is provided throughout.

The living room also has glass doors with views of the courtyard and grand Italian fountain. The courtyard has flowers and green shrubbery that can be enjoyed on our 2 chaise lounges and/or 2 sets of dining table and chairs. A large gas grill has also been provided for enjoyment of our local flavors

The king bedroom offers a 40” HDTV with an accompanying bathroom that includes a walk in shower. The queen bedroom has with a 20' HDTV and accompanying bathroom with shower/tub combination. The bathrooms are new and done with limestone floors, granite countertops and custom Santa Barbara-style cabinets.

When you book with us, you are booking directly with the owners, which means you are not dealing with a management company, or a 3rd party call center, or a computerized mobile application. Often times the 3rd party does not live in town or even know the property. We know our properties intimately, as we both own and manage them, and have a 15+ year track record. Our sixteen FIVE star reviews speak for themselves, including our cleanliness. Also our history as a vacation rental ensures that the property will be delivered. Unfortunately there are some fraudulent offerings and sometimes rental agencies have the ability to 'substitute' your property with another.

Upon booking, directions are emailed along with our contact information, Restaurant Recommendations, Winery and Activities Recommendations and Welcome Notes providing detailed information about the Beach Getaway. In this way, you can drive right to the Getaway, which has a lock box where you’ll use your unique code to enter. There is no need to set up an appointment. Inside, you'll enjoy premium amenities: shampoo, soaps, paper & cleaning products, and 5 star quality bath and beach towels, linens and cleaniness.

And we offer complimentary champagne upon your arrival.

While priced slightly higher than most 1BR/1BA’s, the Ocean Getaway offers a comfortable stay for 2 couples or a small family. Most of the single hotel rooms are priced higher and yet our Ocean Getaway offers so much more.

We welcome a comparison to the 200+ vacation rentals and Hotels as we are unmatched in location, quality & price! The Exceptional Ocean Getaway is a rare retreat in both its location and amenities. A winning combination of location, quality and price!
(A few helpful hints when comparing us to others. The Ocean Getaway is on the ground floor, 1 level, with FULL bathrooms and bedrooms, NO lofts or stairs. We also offer private reserved parking, as opposed to parking on the street which is a challenge being so close to the beach. Finally, we are not located on a commercial thorough fare, next to the Highway (APS or 101) or railroad tracks. We are in an upscale residential enclave in the West Beach Area, in Santa Barbara, 2 blocks to the Beach and State Street.)

Location was excellent, within walking distance to the wharf, state street and the beach, and the house was clean, spacious and cozy, safe neighborhood, no hassles at all.

I really enjoyed staying at 201 Bath Street #1. The location is great with Stearns Wharf in walking distance. We ate several times over on Harbor Way, a 3 minute drive away. It very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen is a nice size with a table that seats 5+. It has everything that one could need whether cooking meals or preparing coffee and toast to eat outside on the patios. My family was staying at a nearby hotel so I invited them over to see this. Everyone was surprised because I had shown them the pictures and they felt that it was even better in person.

You couldn't ask for a more comfortable home for a holiday. Walk to the beach, downtown and the wine tasting areas. The home is beaufully appointed with everything you need. I hope to return for another holiday

We own and manage each of our properties. This pride of ownership shows and as a result our guests return over and over again providing us with a loyal customer base. Many of our guests have been coming for years and for long-term stays.

One thing you can be sure of with all of our properties is that they are not for sale. Our competition lists properties that are for sale and therefore cannot guarantee that you will get the property you selected. Or worse, they may opt out of delivering the property you had hoped for entirely. We speak to individuals quite often that call in desperation as they struggle with an inferior replacement property or no property at all. We are in this for the long term and could not afford to conduct business in this way.

We have been in business for 10+ years and plan to be for many more. We have also been a valued member of the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce since our inception where you will find us on their website.

We strive to maintain our Santa Barbara Vacation Rentals. Santa Barbara condos and Montecito vacation rentals up to the highest standards in terms of quality, amenities and ensuring that our properties are fully equipped with everything you would need while on vacation. There are many fly-by-night operators who are desperate to either sell their property or optimize rents by listing their property as a vacation rental. This desperation will show in the properties, whether it is amenities, cleanliness and/or quality.

So when choosing Santa Barbara vacation rentals, location is key. That is why they say "location, location, location". The closer to the beach the more the property is worth. The closer to the City of Santa again the more the property is worth. And then there are the "Gold Coast" locations of Padaro Lane and the coveted Montecito. We offer 7 properties in the Historic West Beach Area, 2 blocks to the beach and 2 blocks to downtown, several on the sand and in Montecito, including a historic and famously published Estate. Our properties range accordingly in price and can accomodate small parties of 1 to 2 pr large parties up to 15. We are happy to help you select the property this is just right for you.
