Escape to our country estate in a picture book Cotswold village. Our welcoming family home combines old fashioned charm with modern conveniences. All of our beautiful bedrooms are en suite (shower or bath). Lots of history, uneven floor boards and low doorways in places and some dogs and cats! We provide you with a wholesome, proper cooked breakfast. It is not a self catering house. Dinner or supper can be provided by arrangement, as can lunch if so desired. It is very much a home vs hotel.
The space
This rambling old house is full of character with lots of unexpected nooks and crannies. It has a happy atmosphere and is wonderfully peaceful. Bring boots or possibly borrow some so you can enjoy country walks on our doorstep! We are only minutes from Cheltenham and Cirencester so we are ideally situated for business travellers and also holiday makers.
All the bedrooms have duvets except for one twin room which has wonderfully 'old fashioned' ironed sheets and blankets.
Please note that not all the bedrooms have showers and might just be a bathtub. Where just a bath tub for a bedroom there is a jug nearby in the bathroom to facilitate hair washing should you so wish to do so!
Guest access
Our guests can relax in the cosy living room, warmed by a wood burning stove in the winter. There is a little fridge in the lobby area of this room which you can avail yourself of during your stay. There is also a kettle, tea, coffee, and a basket of mugs for a hot drink. Although the house is non smoking, we do allow smoking in the garden. Guests can enjoy the formal lawn and terrace on the same side of the house as the living room.
The area boasts many fine dining establishments or you can get a simple meal (and a good pint) in one of the nearby pubs.
There is no self catering and this includes bringing in 'take away'. Happy to provide dinner or supper should guests so desire.
Other things to note
The staircases are old and slightly uneven in places. It's a house full of character and history. The two dogs and two cats are very much part of the family so if you have allergies to animals it's probably not the best house to stay in!
Wifi is available on the ground floor but not in most of the bedrooms.
The 'service fee' is not a charge levied by me but by Airbnb as their commission. It is quite substantial I reckon!

The estate is situated in a designated "AONB" (area of outstanding natural beauty) and we would be delighted to share some of the joy of living in such a place with you. Rolling hills, Cotswold stone walls, sheep and even occasional soaring buzzards.

We have lived in the area for over 15 years and so are happy to share our knowledge of 'what to do'. Our delicious cooked breakfasts include eggs from our own hens along with homemade jam, locally sourced meat etc. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and vegans. We are willing to provide dinner by arrangement and mutual agreement.
