Peace Tree Sanctuary is just that - a heavenly sanctuary in Wine Country- with giant trees, streams, and waterfalls. Very conducive to meditating, with an abundance of bird life, and wildlife, as well as my three horses, two dogs, and one cat! People love exploring the area, & we are in the center of the Verde Valley. Folks love hanging out here! We have great restaurants five minutes drive from here, and we are only ten minutes off I-17. Birding here is phenomenal! Bring your binoculars!

The space

The Peru Room is a private room in the house. The property is 3 acres of lush vegetation in the rare green belt of AZ~! We have giant trees, grape vines, Critters to pet, sun, grass, and the gushing waterfall viewed (and heard!) from the deck. The room in the house is cozy with the full bathroom just across the hallway. You may use the kitchen, & there is room for leftovers. We are close to many vineyards (5 mins) and good restaurants. For groceries - Cottonwood or Sedona are 20 mins. Country Peace!!

The property is a large hill, with the 75' deck overlooking the fields and woods and the horses grazing. There is "water, water, everywhere!" We have a canal wrapping around the house and a waterfall off of it that goes down into the property and spreads out on the way down into the woods. Then there are streams and creeks through the woods, that make beautiful little waterfalls all along them.

You have use of the full bathroom across the hall, and the kitchen - coffee maker, refrigerator, oven, etc. Also the table inside, and the one on the deck, overlooking the waterfall and the lower fields, are yours to enjoy. There is a bed on the deck as well, in case you need to nap nearer to the waterfall!
Parking is right next to the house - nice and easy for carrying things in and out.
You can use WIFI and the reception is good for phones out on the deck, and some providers (verizon) work well inside the house.

I'm happy to help you with the area and the fun things to do. I've been here since the 80s and know the 'best of the best'~!
I have magazines about Sedona, maps, brochures, and friends to recommend if you would like a tour!

We are close vineyards here in Cornville and Page Springs and four great restaurants. For groceries you will want to go to Sedona or Cottonwood (20 mins). We are right in the middle of the Verde Valley - and day trips are easy to Jerome, Old Town Cottonwood, Sedona and many more places of interest.

We are out in the country. So having a rental car is great - or your own car.
I like to email the directions for the last mile to the place, since it is not on all GPS> just to get you here quicker so you can start relaxing ASAP~! The maps are not up to date on all GPS systems.

Just about not being on GPS - just the last mile is a couple turns on the dirt road, and I will send you exact details.
I have three friendly horses, and they love to be given treats (apples and carrots) and get groomed. I have two Yorkshire Terriers -who love attention!! I also have a cat - so that is important to know in case you have allergies (to any of the above!)

Guest access

You have access to the kitchen, the full bathroom, the deck, and the main dining table. There is close parking. There are some woods you can explore or just hang out by the waterfall. There are many spots to just sit and soak up the sun! Great meditation spots, and wonderful bird life!

Interaction with guests

I am here for any questions you may have. I have maps and tour books of the area, and day hikes. Whatever you need we can help you. You have total privacy while you are here - there are lots of good spots to sit and meditate. The vineyards are close to our house as well, and we have information about their hours, tours, etc.

Other things to note

This is a hidden paradise. The surrounding neighborhood does NOT reflect what you will find once you arrive at Peace Tree. Just so you know! And I always send people the specific directions, as half of the folks follow their GPS on their phone, and then get lost.

This is a special place. I drank artesian water, played with horses and butterflies, and bathed in the waters of Oak Creek. This is a truly revitalizing atmosphere. Anyone that is drawn here should come.

Dear Maggie, Thank you for being such an amazing host. We really enjoyed staying at your place over the long weekend. Our dream of spending time in nature, with animals and being in a quiet place all came true because of your place. My son (4 yrs old) really enjoyed feeding the horses, playing in the water, talking to you and just being there contemplating. We would love to come back again in future.

My life is full of animals and sharing their magic with people. I have three horses, three dogs, and one cat. I am a bird lover and spend most of the day outside at my sanctuary. I do healing work with humans and animals, and love movies and books and writing and photography. …
