My place is close to parks, great views, and restaurants and dining. You’ll love my place because of the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Better Farm is an animal sanctuary, providing homes to everyone from horses to dogs who have suffered neglect or abuse. For that reason, we ask that you please respect our very strict no-pets policy—even if your dog is amazingly well behaved, loves farms and chickens, and has never been a problem in the past!

I'm Nicole Caldwell, CEO of Better Farm, editor, educator, author, mover and shaker..
Better Farm is a sustainability campus, artist colony, and organic farm set on 65 acres in Northern New York along the foothills of the Adirondacks, and just 10 miles from the St. Lawrence Seaway, Thousand Islands Region, and Canadian Border. The philosophy of Better Farm is simple: to take less, give more, recognize whimsy and synchronicity, be more open, get your hands dirty, eat local and make the world a better, greener place for all living things.
I moved to Redwood in 2009 from a New York City apartment where I worked at a desk job as a professional journalist. These days, I write from my back deck or farmhouse office. My work has appeared in Martha Stewart Living, Mother Earth News, Thrillist, Readers Digest and many more. My first book, Better: The Everyday Art of Sustainable Living, came out in July 2015.
Airbnb has been a great way to bring a diverse group of people through the tiny hamlet of Redwood, which is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Welcoming people from all over the world to a farmstead where we practice mindful living is a gift; and the ability for people at the farm and visitors to learn from each other, share ideas and come up with new ones is a powerful step in the right direction.
