"Still Point" is a stunning 160-acre forested property on a private lake. Nestled between a stream, a secluded lake and a marshy bog, the elegant chalet offers beautiful lake views, haunting loon calls & frequent glimpses of wildlife. Only 10 miles from Whiteface Ski Center and 19 from Lake Placid Olympic Center. Our 1 mile nature trail leads you along the stream, wetlands, lake, bog and beaver dams. 2 canoes and a kayak available. The cozy fire place invite relaxation...

The space
Still Point Chalet is surrounded by 160 acres of pristine forest and wildlife. The chalet itself is nestled between an inlet stream, a secluded lake and a marshy bog, hosting myriad birds (majestic blue herons, yodeling loons), otters, beavers & deer. A 1 mile private nature trail leads you by beaver dams, wetlands, birch and pine forests & marshy bog. While its Adirondack park location offers many outdoor fun activities nearby (hiking, skiing, canoeing, biking etc.) the chalet itself offers a wrap around deck with BBQ and a cozy fireplace indoor for relaxation. Surrounding autumn colors are spectacular! Winter snows invite cross country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities on the lake and through the forests. Canoeing & kayaking opportunities return in Spring.

We live in the northern California countryside where we host an organic produce market. We love sharing fresh quality food with our local community. We also love the thought of sharing our beautiful family chalet in the Adirondacks (NY) with fellow nature lovers. I (Michael) am an avid, lifelong hiker (doing some or all of the Appalachian, Pacific Crest and Continental Divide trails). Isabelle is French Canadian from Montreal and is an avid world traveler, bringing us to Europe, Bali, Morocco, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Belize and Iceland . Michael's parents built Still Point Chalet and were both Adirondack 46ers -- love of adventure and the mountains runs deep in our family!
