Join us on the Ridge! Our sit down breakfast with a full view of Table Rock is included in the base price! Two minute drive to 77 miles of continuous trails, 15 min to lakes Keowee and Jocassee, 40-45 min to Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC. We'd so enjoy sharing our beautiful property with you! This listing is weekdays only, unless our full terrace doesn't book... check back on the Thursday evening prior, to see if it's available for the weekend! or book the Full Terrace!

The space

* Please Note: The maximum number of guests is 3 (ages 12 and up) for this space. We can not allow entrance or a refund to guests arriving with more folks than the maximum!!! We have other rooms onsite and campgrounds you can book for larger parties!

We're transitioning the property into a B&B and small wedding venue, so this is where we live and work. We'll be here to welcome you and show you to your room, private bathroom, screened or open porches you can use and answer any questions. We have guidebooks you can refer to and a 'store' of toiletries you can purchase if you forgot something and there are hairdryers in all our bathrooms. Check us out on FBK @TheRidgebnb for area happenings and updates!

We'll bring you in through the back porch, guide you through the kitchen, dining and living rooms and downstairs to your private terrace level suite. There are closets, hangers, dressers, full length mirror, towels and washcloths, extra pillows and blankets in the closet. Terrace Level rooms have queen sized beds and USB charges on each nightstand. A lovely open air porch and the terrace level living room and kitchette is dedicated to our terrace level guests. (there is an option to rent the entire terrace level as one package, see The Ridge at Table Rock: Full Terrace!)

There is the Terrace level kitchenette with fridge and microwave for those guests to share!

We provide a genuine, sit down, full continental breakfast for you to enjoy each morning (feel free to bring your own K-Cups if you like your coffee fancy or drink more than a few cups in the morning!), but otherwise do not share our own kitchen or dining room, just so you can plan! (we do rent them by the hour however, just talk to us well in advance)

Guest access

You'll have complete access to your suite of rooms, and our many porches and sitting areas, trails, pond and fire pit...

We just added a grill & party patio to the barn! Reserve the space & use of the grill for $20! Dinnerware is $5 per person or bring your own throwaways! Limit 1.5 hours, patio includes large grill with side burner, tools, gas, a large picnic table my grandfather built and extra wicker seating. Throw away your trash & we'll clean up the rest!

We have multiple rooms for rent and cannot work the logistics of sharing our kitchen or dining room, please be aware of that when planning your stay! We do provide breakfast in the morning to send you off to your day of adventuring right! If you're an all day, any hour, coffee/tea hound feel free to bring your own K-Cups! We include a cup or two at breakfast, but ask for donations beyond that!!

We also offer full use of our Archery Range and Equipment including throwing knives and recurve bow for $5 per person... lost arrows or damaged equipment are extra ;)

Trailhead and River services include drop off and pick up and we'll even meet you on the trail with provisions. Fees apply. Discounts for guests staying on The Ridge before and after extended hikes. We'll also trail buddy with solo guests in exchange for dinner or a six pack! ;)

Interaction with guests

We're open to help plan and make suggestions, to discussing ideas if you wish to have guests join you for some visiting time out here on the property and generally enjoy interacting with our guests, sometimes we've joined in or facilitated hikes, kayaking or other activities.

While we offer a minimum of continental fare (cereal, cheese, bagels and breads, granola bars, juice & fresh, organic hard boiled eggs from our own hens!) and coffee and tea in the mornings, we sometimes offer 'chip in some cash' meals or to relax with us by the fire over a lovely beverage... depending on scheduling, your preference, the number of guests we're hosting at the time and if we're not too busy working on the property!

Other things to note

We now have WIFI!! There are USB chargers on every night stand for charging all your devices!

All the major carriers connect strongly here, we've never had poor phone or data service.

Hopefully, once you're here and start soaking in our view and experience the Milky Way over the back deck, and come to appreciate everything else there is to do and see, you might decide putting the devices away for a bit is just what your soul needed.

We have a smaller flatscreen we can loan you to play DVDs/Bluerays, but we do not have cable. If we watch a movie it's usually out on the patio like a drive-in movie, you can have it in your room though!

Safety Outdoors:

We live in foothills of the Smoky Mountains on 14 acres, there are deer and rabbits and all manner of birds on our property, as well as our own ducks and chickens. There are also black bears. There are snakes... some poisonous. There are packs of wild turkeys living in the woods that might surprise you if you hike our trails... all these beautiful creatures are in the state parks as well. We have learned to live cohesively and to be wise, alert and respectful. The main thing is not to panic if you see them, we can advise you what to do and where activity is diminished or increased. Sightings are rare, but they do happen, so it's important to follow the rules about not leaving food or trash outside and any other guidelines we offer during your stay depending on the movements in the area, which change throughout the seasons.

Note on Furniture/Spaces:

This is our home. It's filled with family heirlooms, antiques passed down, furniture made by grandfathers... every piece in our main living spaces has a history and a story. There are coasters provided in every room, and we ask that you use them and are careful with our space and furnishings!

Our host greeted us immediately with a friendly smile and warm welcome. The Ridge at Table Rock is truly a beautiful and comfortable place to stay and we look forward to another visit. It was very conveniently located to the event we were attending. Super clean, beautifully decorated, peaceful and lovely surroundings and views. We would be more than happy to recommend it highly to anyone!

What a spot! Tucked away in the mountains? Check. Sprawling land with views of breathtaking scenery? Check. Comforts of home and friendly/completely professional homeowner? Check check. Kimberly was such a wonderful host. Her background in hospitality made it so her place operates far more like a bed and breakfast than just a private room in a larger home. My sister and I were only supposed to stay for 1 quick night but instead stayed 2. We were 30 minutes from Travelers Rest, 45 from Greenville and 100% relaxed when on the 14 acres or cozied up in our first floor room with private bath. Such a nice, memorable trip. We'll be back!

This was an amazing stay. I had to work most of the time but I always felt welcome. FYI The fly fishing was amazing. Five stars is not enough.

This trip was everything we could have asked for. AMAZING views from the home. In ALL directions. Private room and bathroom and very accommodating. Kim and Ryan were the best hosts. We came from FL and knew nothing about the area. They helped us plan our entire day, they do breakfast that is so nice in the morning and check in with your through the day about how you are doing. Kim adjusted to your needs and wants for breakfast which was great too! The area she is located in is awesome for hiking. There is like 10 places to chose from to go hiking. She also does a bonfire one of the nights. It was so nice to just sit around and talk about life and learn about nature. One of the days my boy friend and I went white water rafting, only an hour away. GREAT 7 hour day long adventure. To add to this type of trip. I will definitely be back :) Ps: the pictures don't even do justice it's BEAUTIFUL!

Kimberly's "Ridge at Table Rock was fantastic. Definitely worth the money. Kimberly is also very personable and welcoming. The home is located with a clear view of "Table Rock Mountain." Our visit was brief and due to commitments elsewhere we were not able to enjoy all of the amenities available, from a walk in the woods to a large hammock in the back, and the wonderful morning freshness of the area.

Once a busy mom, wife and serial entrepreneur in Ohio... after barely surviving sudden widowhood and finding myself tapped out from maintaining three businesses, a farm & two rental properties on my own for two years... I got my kids off to adulthood and finally took the leap, sold it all and relocated to the mountains in South Carolina! At any time you might see friends, family or neighbors onsite helping me with various projects or assisting with the day to day... it's turning into a full and beautiful life!

The goal is to have a B&B and wedding venue here in the future, and to live and work everyday in the moment, surrounded by good things and good people.

Waking up to the sun rising on the face of Table Rock, living on 14 acres of woods and enjoying the pond and nature up close has been a grand start, now we just need you!

While we transition the house and property, we're opening it up to Airbnb folks and would love your feedback and ideas. We ala cart many of our services and amenities so we can afford to keep our room rates lower for you... so please read our full descriptions, so you know what to expect!

Hope to meet you soon on The Ridge!
