Julien's yurt is amazing! After traveling through multiple really cute cities on the French Riviera, this mongol tent in the middle of the forest was a perfect getaway and break from the rest of the trip. The yurt was clean, comfortable, had really cute decoration, was a perfect combination of into-the-wild nature and cozy comfort. Jonathon hosted us during our stay. We had a hard time reaching him in the beginning due to some miscommunication but once we were in his hands, everything was very smooth. To get to the yurt, you have to go through some rough roads that the host will drive you through (no worries). The deeper you go the more exiting it is as you realize how much in isolation you are. There is relatively good signal while you're at the yurt Incase that is a want or concern. We brought some dinner (vin, fromage, pain) that we had in the Yurt - dishes and cutlery provided. We went in the summer so the days were warm and the nights quite cool. We spent part of the night on the hammock and the chairs in the backyard close to the hammock watching the stars - super bright and beautiful! In the morning we had the most electrifying shower (highly recommend!) and a wonderful breakfast with bread and some honey (lavende sauvage) we bought from their honey farm nearby. Definitely recommend visiting - they offer tastings of all the honey they produce and you don't have to buy anything but you'll probably want to after trying it and learning about the process they use! Definitely highly recommend this place. Do not hesitate

Response from Julien:

Julian and Jon were very nice. the Yort was clean and feels like home. the night there was part of a long trip and enrich the trip with special and unique experience. Julian also make good pure honey, we recommend to see the small 'home factory' and buy.

If you have the time to stay in Julien's yurt, I would highly recommend it. Met with John, Julien's friend who was very kind, quick to respond, was tremendously helpful, and drove us up to the yurt (the drive is on a dirt road so his 4 wheel drive was necessary). The yurt itself was very neat, traditional style and had everything we needed. Being simple food like salad and eggs as there's a simple, one burner camper stove. John showed us a path to the river with a small waterfall that was very nice. All the best with the bees and teaching!

The yourt is a fantastic place to stay, also with children (I slept with my two children of 11 and 9). It is in the middle of nature so you should prepare yourself with food. But there is electricity and water in tanks. Back to nature!

The Yurt was a new experience to me. And it was fantastic for real. I was able to see the stars in a good view. The hots are very very friendly with no exceptions you gonna like them. One advice to be taken is to take some food with you to enjoy the night because you will be in a beautiful remote high land.

Unfortunately we cannot rate all points because we did not manage to stay in the end as our son became sick but the communication before and after was fantastic. Thank you
