Dauntsey Park House is a historical and beautiful, private family home situated on the banks of the River Avon.
There are two comfortable and large bedrooms. One double and one twin. Two bathrooms.
We are well placed for visiting the Cotswolds and the city of Bath.
Close to the beautiful villages of Tetbury and the National Trust village of Laycock.
The large bedrooms are next door to each other so are good for families for couples travelling together. Both rooms have the same view over the River Avon and parkland. The double room has a super kingsize bed and an en suite bath and shower room. The twin room has generously sized antique single beds, with modern mattresses. This room has an en suite bathroom with a roll top, antique bath and a thunderbox loo! The plumbing is modern! Both bedrooms have sofas and a chair by the window to enjoy the view.
In addition to the bedrooms, the original medieval hall is for you to use, this room is now the modern dining room where breakfast is served. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the dining room. There are comfortable armchairs and an enormous woodburner to keep you warm should the weather be cooler. You are welcome to walk around the garden and park, there is garden seating, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or an evening drink. More adventurous guests might like to borrow a boat and go for a row on the River Avon.
Interaction with guests
We shall be here to let you in and show you around. Please let us know your arrival time. We are around for breakfast but often out during the day. I am very happy to recommend places to visit and good local restaurants.
