APARTMENT: The apartment was very nice. Almost everything was clean and up to date--aside from the washing machine, which left our clothes in a puddle of water. Be prepared to walk up two flights as there is no elevator.
HOST: At the time of booking, we didn't realize that we would have to meet the "host" at a building that is about a 10 minutes walk from the train station. This was pretty inconvenient considering we had all of our luggage with us, had to cross a bridge, locate the building, and had to walk up a few flights of stairs. Other Airb&bs meet you at the property, so it was sort of strange that we were expected to meet them at an office building. Also, there was very limited communication. We had questions about getting to the airport and questions about the washing machine, but responses were limited. Be prepared: this is not a traditional air b&b, where a private person is renting out their apartment. instead, it is more of a business, run by a company. so it feels a lot less personal
LOCATION: The location is a beautiful, quiet area. However, be prepared to either walk A LOT or spend a lot of money. When I put the address into (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, it told me that I'd be able to get to the city center (St Mark's Square area) within a 10 minute walk. However, this includes using the ferry system. With four people, the cost adds up. We ended up walking every day, which, takes about 25 minutes, since the closest bridge across the grand canal is pretty far. The host tries to sell you a 3-day pass, but it's probably not worth the money.
