A fabulous, well-loved family home in Crackington Haven sleeping 7, only 350 yards from the beach. The property has unrivaled panoramic views from the house to the sea and surrounding cliffs.

The sloping grounds lead onto woods, perfect for walking and there is a large patio for entertaining overlooking the sea. Dingley Dell is a very special place that you will want to return to time and time again – the perfect family hideaway.

NB: WE HAVE A MINIMUM SHORT STAY PRICE OF £350 in LOW SEASON

The space
The house has spacious accommodation for family groups, sleeping 7 in 4 bedrooms, plus cot.

The triple aspect lounge is large but has a cosy feel in winter with a large feature fireplace and gas coal effect log burner to keep you warm. There is a second, separate sitting room for larger groups if you need to have your own quiet space. Both rooms have super views out to sea and the impressive cliffs.

There is a separate living room with TV. This room benefits from an electric coal effect fire which makes it even more cosy.

There is also WiFi available along with a DVD and CD player.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine and there is a tumble dryer for guests use. There is an area of seating in the kitchen for meals if you prefer and don’t want to spread out into the dining room. You will also appreciate the warmth from the gas coal effect fire in this room.

You can walk from the kitchen into the garage where there is another fridge freezer and a dryer.

The three bedrooms upstairs have uninterrupted sea views and the fourth bedroom has a wooded valley view and also benefits from the morning sun.

Upstairs there is a family bathroom with separate toilet and a shower room downstairs.

Storage heating, electricity included.

Outside there is a large terrace overlooking the sea – perfect for entertaining and a barbeque is provided for your use.

Undoubtedly one of the best features of the property is the magical garden – a very special place with secret areas to explore. The attractive sunken dell provides a shady retreat and a pretty stream runs through the bottom of the garden. This in turn leads onto woods and further walks are possible from the property along the coast and inland. With stunning views and a feeling of space and tranquility you won’t want to venture far away.

There is also a tennis court in front of the property overlooking the sea, which is included in the tariff.

There are a lot of lovely dog walks in the area which include coastal walks. However, the beach is closed to dogs between Easter Sunday and the 30th September. You can go to Widemouth Bay any time of the year.

There is sufficient parking for three cars and we would ask you to not park in the private road, which leads to the house, as this can cause problems for other vehicles trying to gain access to other properties in the road.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole house.

Location

Crackington Haven, England, United Kingdom

Along the coast from Bude is the secluded village of Crackington Haven. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Crackington Haven is a fine example of the rugged north Cornwall coast. Imposing rock formations, cliffs and flourishing woodland form the most spectacular landscape. Walkers can take the woodland route to Pencarrow Point, or the circular route. Look out for some of Cornwall’s resident wildlife. More experienced walkers will enjoy the 10-mile route from Crackington Haven to Bude. If you’re keen to get in the water, Crackington Haven can offer a great spot for surfers in the right conditions. If the waves are messy, hop in with a body board. The beach is lifeguarded throughout the summer, making it perfect for families. Its pebbly shore offers prime spots for rock pooling, too. The nearby parish of St Gennys is worth exploring. Set just half a mile outside the village, St Gennys is a beautiful historical area, offering a beautiful church and tales of shipwrecks. From here, the incredibly secluded Strangles Beach can be found. The walk down to the beach is challenging, though offers a unique view of the rugged north Cornwall coastline. There are a lot of lovely dog walks in the area which include coastal walks. However, the beach is closed to dogs between Easter Sunday and the 30th September. You can go to Widemouth Bay any time of the year.

To the west, the bustling seaside resort of Bude has two golden sandy beaches, perfect for both novice and experienced surfers. If you’re keen to catch a few waves, there are plenty of places to hire a wetsuit and board. Swimmers can also enjoy the 1930’s sea pool. Bude is full of eateries, pubs and cafes as well as independent shops. Other outstanding beaches include Widemouth, Bossiney and Sandymouth.

Hi, my name is Tim, and I run a small business renting out holiday cottages in Cornwall and France called Cornishseaviewcottages . Whilst I don't live in Cornwall, I fell in love with it many years ago, and have been visiting regularly ever since, either to maintain the properties, or just to get away from life. There is something about the West country that makes you forget your worries, and remember what life should be about.
