Belmont Yurt is close to Devoran Creek on a small working farm. We raise cattle, saddleback pigs, and host horses in the surrounding fields. You’ll love it for the seclusion, peaceful environment, and great shower! Our Yurt is good for couples and families with kids.

The space

This is a traditional Mongolian Yurt furnished with a warm double bed and children's beds as required. There is also an indoor dining table and chairs just in case any inclement weather should prevent use of the outdoor eating area! Immediately adjacent to the Yurt is your own private power shower and loo. I should also mention that this year we have installed a composting loo which so far appears to be working wonders. The kitchen area is stocked with tea, coffee and a few other essentials that you are free to use. Surrounding the Yurt is a lawn area where giant bean bags provide very comfortable seating to lounge on whilst the sun goes down.

Guest access

Guests have sole use of the Yurt, shower and kitchen areas.

Interaction with guests

The farm is a working farm and as such there are always people on hand to call upon should it be required.

Beautiful authentic setting, warm welcome and then given plenty of privacy but always on hand if we needed anything. Couldn't recommend this place enough - we'll definitely be back!

If you want somewhere tranquil and totally unique and special then stay at Belmont Yurt. Neil and his family are so welcoming and the dogs, cows and horses are very friendly and the best neighbours! The yurt itself is warm, comfortable and like a second home, the compost loo works well and the shower is the best one i have had on holiday. Overall it is such a lovely experience and may change your outlook on life let alone be a great relaxing break

Fabulous! We had a very comfortable stay at the yurt, despite the wind and rain. Neil was a great host - very helpful and with small things such as breakfast cereal and bread provided, the initial settle-in was far easier than anticipated. I will certainly be recommending Belmont Yurt to friends and family. Already missing Pepper the dog!

What a gorgeous first stay in a yurt for me and the family. A big thanks to Neil for his hospitality and his efforts into making our stay into such an enjoyable trip. The yurt itself was incredibly warm and comfy and toasting marshmallows over the log burner at night was a wonderful experience for us all! Peppa the dog was our adopted fourth member of the family for the 5 days we were there and hardly left our side. Wonderful to meet all the family that look after the farm and really hope to see their business grow over the coming years!

We stayed for 4 nights at this yurt. Its fab, in a very peaceful location. Our neighbours were 3 horses and 4 calves in the day. On a family farm, Neil and his family very helpful and welcoming. My kids had a wonderful time and are missing Pepper the dog. Local pub in walking distance and creek is great for crabbing. Village is lovely and central for all of Cornwall by car.

We had a great stay in the yurt. The location is ideal and the views down to the creek are beautiful. We enjoyed the feeling of privacy whilst knowing there was someone on hand if needed. With young children we were slightly worried that the yurt would be light, but it was very dark and cosy and we all slept soundly in comfy beds, and even had a lie-in one day which is unheard of in our house! The only thing I would say is that the yurt had a bit of a musty smell - not having stayed in one before this might just be what they smell like. There were lots of goodies in the kitchen which was unexpected and a nice treat. The facilities are good, especially the shower. We all fell in love with Pepper the dog. We are already recommending the yurt to family and friends.
