House is situated in lovely, quiet place, Riccardo and Francesca are really, really helpful and the contact with them is perfect. It is better to rent a car in this localisation, however we handled 9 days without it and visited the Cinque Terre towns. We truly recommend this place and, of course, the hosts. Cheers:).

Idyllic setting, about 20 minutes walk along a Cinque Terre trail. What an amazing view! Lovely cosy cottage just meant for two. Only thing, don't rely on the wifi- it's a bit erratic but cannot be helped! Lovely seafood to be had at the trattoria Colle del Telegrafo but only open in the evening on Saturdays. Do bring your provisions with you before you come as there is nowhere nearby- the only place is 20 minutes drive to La Spezia for food etc.

Response from Riccardo:
We are sorry for the inconvenience of Wendy's finding, but the problem did not depend on our will. The company that manages the system on that day was carrying out maintenance work. Today it works perfectly.

We spent 8 days here and it was really one of our best holidays. The setting of the house is absolutely amazing with a view that is better than in the photos. As we had 8 days in the area we didn't want to be any of the cinque terre villages themselves because it would be too restrictive and this place was the perfect balance. We were a little concerned about the remoteness of the house but you can get to a large super market in la spezia in 20 minutes so this was never an issue. Riccardo recommended many places in the local area outside of the villages, all of which turned out to be great. The house itself is cute and comfortable but with the garden and its spectaculra views, we spent very little time inside the house.

We have had a memorable stay at Riccardo's little cottage. The view is gorgeous. When the sun shines, it is possible to see Corsica in front of the house. This place is really quite (it is a great place to get some rest) The region of Cinque Terre is definitely a must see ! Getting to Riomaggiore by bus is very convenient (I recommend the bus instead of your car). There you can visit all villages by boat or train. There are also numerous footpaths in the area. For the food, you can find grocery stores in La Spezia. Riccardo and his wife were very kind and provided us all the information we needed (He fluently speaks french and she speaks english). It's now your turn to experiment this place.

I am a teacher of Geography viticulture and ecology buff. I am very concerned with environmental protection and diffusion of geographical culture. I recently wrote a book, "Mucche allo stato ebraico. Svarioni da un paese a scarsa cultura geografica” which collects the funny blunders of my students. I like the anglo-saxon and italian pop music, especially that of the '70s on which I wrote and edited texts events .

The realization of this house is the result of a very ambitious project began in the early 2000s: the recovery of an abandoned vineyard of about 6,000 square meters. Together with other friends (with whom I founded a small company Prima Terra) I joined the Project of abandoned vineyards adoption of the National Park of Cinque Terre. At our expense we explanted completely abandoned the old and diseased vineyard. We planted more than 6,000 new seedlings. We have restructured almost 100 linear meters of dry stone walls (some high even 4 meters ! ), we made a fence of over 1 km to defend ourselves by wild boars. We cleaned the wood by weeds. The cottage, which consisted of a ruin, was completely rebuilt in 2005 and is shared with pleasure with those who love the Cinque Terre landscape and the workmanship that wisely has shaped this territory with terraces, and good wine.
