Overlooking the majestic Barron River, views from the verandas are panoramic. Eye-level with the treetop birds, you see straight below the river, and hear the waterfalls. In the far distance, you breathe in the spaciousness of rain forested mountain ranges. The verandas welcome you to the vast 550m2 elegant, yet hip multi-leveled home. Bedrooms are newly renovated by international artist and host, Steve. The secluded house is renowned in Kuranda for its unique extravagance; you will be spoiled!
The impressive open plan living/dining area has an abundance of space for you and your guests to relax and enjoy, a fully equipped kitchen is waiting for you to cook up some culinary delights. In the cooler months guests can keep cosy and warm in front of a log fire in the main living area. Breathtaking views of the Barron River await you on the terrace, relax and entertain in the various outdoor seating/dining areas surrounded by the sights and sounds of the lush rainforest.
Guests can access the river via a path from the house, take a refreshing swim (no crocs!) or have fun in the Kayak!
Accessed from the front of the house this room is charming and elegant, the King size and single bed (an additional single mattress can be added if required) layout is perfect for couples, families or friends. This room has a large en-suite bathroom and comfy sofa with patio doors opening out on to a shared patio area with garden and river views.

We encourage you to relax and make yourself feel at home and enjoy all that The Grand Barron Lodge has to offer. You will have access to all main features of the house, including; the living room, fully equipped kitchen, balcony, BBQ, piano, river, Kayak, washing machine and dryer (surcharge), WiFi etc.

Staff will be on site in a separate area of the property and are able to help throughout your stay if needed.

We invite you to enjoy a complementary light breakfast each morning in the communal kitchen, between 7am-9am.

I am a semi- retired professional artist living very happily in my guest lodge, meeting new people from all over the world and sharing stories. We have a beautiful young Labrador that loves to swim and play, with guests in the river.
