About this listing
My accommodation is near the Butte Montmartre (and Sacré Coeur), Gare du Nord, and the Goutte d'Or neighborhood. You will enjoy it for the kitchen space, it's brightness despite being on the 1st floor, for the peacefulness of the building, and the ceiling height.
In addition, you will appreciate (I hope) its location in a neighborhood which remains, for the time, working class and faithful to its history as an immigrant area, and thus a rich melting pot.
My studio is rather small (240 ft²), but has high ceilings and so I was able to build a rather nice mezzanine which opens onto the apartment. The open mezzanine overlooks on one side the kitchen, on the other the living room.
The mezzanine is just a sleeping area with a Japanese-style futon double bed.
In the living room there is a digital piano (to be used during the day in order to preserve the calm of the building) and a convertible sofa serving as a second bed; one person, or two if they are not too tall (or children), can sleep comfortably there.
The living room leads to a small "collective" terrace (to be used while respecting the neighbors), which overlooks the railways of Gare du Nord.
Despite the railways, and thanks to a rather particular glazing system, we are not really bothered by the trains.
There is a small separated kitchen with the necessities for cooking, eating, and having breakfast (but no microwave).
I live primarily in this apartment. I am not around when travelers are in my accommodation. But since I live there, there are necessarily signs of my presence, as this isn't a hotel... Nevertheless, I will leave space so that you can store your things.
For the arrival, please contact me before reserving so that we can agree upon an arrival time, as I am sometimes unavailable because of my work.
PS: I had to cancel several scheduled reservations during the months of January and February 2017 for a serious personal reason out of my control. I was saddened by this, but it was an exceptional circumstance; normally I am decided with the reservations that I accept.
