About this listing

Rustic, cozy apartments in a 18th century farmhouse, immersed in the nature of Tuscan countryside. Three accommodations with 7 bedrooms total, to be rented together or separately. Can sleep any group from 2 to 16 persons. Private swimming pool, terraces, garden, stunning view! Very peaceful but only 5 km from the nearest town, 35' from Arezzo, 45' from Florence. Real Tuscan experience!

The space

Casa Querceto is a 18th century farmhouse located in an secluded spot on the Pratomagno mountain slopes, covered with olive groves. From the property you will enjoy a gorgeous view of the whole Valdarno valley, and the view stretches far up to the first Chianti hills.

In the house there are two apartments for rent:

1) CASA QUERCETO (3 bedrooms)
Huge 200sqm apartment that occupies the whole first floor of the main house. It features:
- a kitchen (well equipped) with a fireplace
- a dining room
- a salon with sofas, TV and books
- a very large salon with sofas and a large traditional fireplace
- a terrace outside where you can eat & relax "al fresco"
- two bedrooms with double beds, one of which has a private terrace with an incredible view
- a bedroom with two single beds
- two bathrooms (one has a bathtub, both have showers)

2) APPARTAMENTO (2 bedrooms)
Apartment at ground floor of the main house, only to be rented together with the large one
- kitchen/dining
- 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each
- bathroom

The accommodations share all the outdoor garden area around the house and the swimming pool! (Open June-September)

The property is really a old-fashioned traditional one, and retains all the characteristics of a typical Tuscan country house; rooms are very large, floors and ceiling are the original ones and the furniture is mostly hand-made and antique. The house is surrounded by aromatic lavender and rosemary bushes. Staying at Casa Querceto is the real Tuscan-style experience!

Enjoy the place, the sights, the history, the local attractions, the food and the wine at your own pace and treat yourself to the best local products! Have a perfect relaxing break soaking up the sun in this wonderful part of the country! Homemade dinners can be organized on request.

Our stay at Casa Querceto was amazing. The property is quiet with a wonderful view overlooking olive trees, the garden, and peaceful scenic Tuscan land. The place is very conveniently situated for day trips to Siena, Arezzo, Firenze, San Gimignano... Our hosts, Simone and Annalisa were very helpful. All in all, a great experience, would definitely come back again the next time we visit Italy, Tuscany. Highly recommend!

Simone made us feel very welcome on arrival and showed us around the accommodation. Cass querceto is a very rustic tradional Tuscan house in beautiful gardens. The views are spectacular from the terrace and pool. A point to be aware of is although the listing states private pool you are actually sharing this with other guests on staying on site.

We had great two-week stay at Casa Querceto and would definitely try to return. The house has in essence everything you need, charm, space and scenery, both inside the apartment as well as outside. Having a GPS was very helpful for reaching the apartment for the first time. Our host, Simone, was also very hospitable and easy to reach by phone/ mail and had great recommendations for experiencing the area.

This is a truly amazing house, and a rare gem for a relaxing and unique holiday. Six friends and I spent a week in the house, and had a wonderful time relaxing at the house and in the pool and going on day excursions to some nearby sights (Florence, Siena, Chianti). The house is very large -- plenty of room for seven -- and has two nice terraces with spectacular views overlooking the Chianti Hills across the Arno Valley. The terraces were wonderful places for meals and drinks in the evenings. The pool was great, and there is also a grassy area just before the olive grove that is nice for picnics and has a small barbeque. It was a great experience to stay in such an old house, which dated to the early 1700s and was well-restored with nice period touches, but also had all the modern amenities that we needed. This was a great base for excursions around Tuscany. Siena and Chianti were about a one hour drive away. To get to Florence, we drove about 20 minutes to the Figline Valdarno Train Station, and from there caught an ~40 minute train to Florence. A car is a must for this location, since it is a bit far from the nearest town. Some of the earlier guests have written that the house is difficult to find, but the directions that Simone provided were clear and very easy to follow. Simone was a great host and very easy to communicate and interact with. We had one of his home-cooked Tuscan dinners, and I would recommend this for anyone visiting the house. Overall, this is an unmatched spot to relax and enjoy a real Tuscan experience. Highly, highly recommended!

It was amazing couple days in amazing place - house with long history, comfortable for our group of five. Property is hard to find when you are first time there, but worth of this. To reach you need a car. Morning's views from the terrace - unforgettable :) Simone is very friendly host, fast and easy contact by mail or phone.

We had the best experience at Casa Querceto, the apartment is stunning and enormous - far bigger than the pictures suggest! There's a huge salon/living room with a big fireplace which opens out onto the terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills - this is where we spent our evenings. The apartment is decorated beautifully and has everything you need, and more. The private pool area is beautiful too with amazing views over the hills. Simone is a brilliant host - he was so kind and helpful during our stay, even allowing us to use the house after check-out time. You can eat lunch or dinner at Casa Querceto - definitely take them up on this! The food is amazing, and there's so much of it! Would definitely recommend Casa Querceto - we'll be returning soon hopefully!
