The space
A few short blocks from Johns Hopkins Homewood campus, on a quiet street of colorful Victorian row houses in Charles Village. We're a fifth-generation Baltimore family and have cared for this building for years. This is a real, lived-in home, not a stripped-down rental.
The top-floor unit has a bedroom with a double bed, a separate sitting room with a dedicated desk for working, and a full kitchen. Wifi, a TV for your streaming accounts, and laundry in the building. Pets are welcome.
Getting around is easy. Johns Hopkins is a short walk, the free JHU shuttle stops a block away and runs to Penn Station, Mt. Vernon, and the East Baltimore medical campus, and you're within walking distance of shops, restaurants, coffee, and the Waverly Farmers Market.
One practical note so there are no surprises: the unit is on the third floor of a walkup, so you'll be taking stairs with your bags.
It's a good fit for a visiting professor, a Hopkins family in town for a visit or graduation, a researcher on an assignment, or anyone who wants to settle into the neighborhood for a few weeks rather than book a hotel.

* Your Space *
The apartment is all yours, plus you're welcome to use the front porch, the fenced backyard, and the basement laundry area.
The backyard is especially nice in spring, summer, and fall - great for relaxing outside or having a meal when the weather cooperates. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee or watching the neighborhood go by.
The shared washer and dryer in the basement are free to use whenever you need them.
Since these outdoor areas and the laundry are shared by everyone in the building, we just ask that you tidy up after yourself (and any pets you've brought along). It keeps things pleasant for everyone and helps the space stay welcoming.
Other things to note
By booking our home, you're agreeing to treat the space respectfully and take responsibility for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. You're also responsible for your own belongings, safety, and wellbeing during your stay, as well as the actions of any guests or pets you bring with you.
We maintain the property carefully and want you to be comfortable here. If you notice anything that needs attention or have any safety concerns, please let us know right away so we can address it.
We're not liable for accidents, injuries, or losses that occur on the property. Please note that all bookings are covered by Airbnb's AirCover protection, which provides coverage for both guests and hosts in the unlikely event of property damage or other issues during your stay.
This is a home we care about, and we trust you'll use good judgment while you're staying here.

I am a seasoned traveler and have spent time around the country and around the world. I have enjoyed using Airbnb - both as a guest and as a host. I like to cook, go out to eat, drink and teach about wine, ride bikes, go on walks, and spend time with my kiddo.
As a guest, I am respectful of your space, clean, and make sure to leave the place a little better than I found it. I try to travel light and get out and enjoy wherever I am.
To help protect your payment, always use Airbnb to send money and communicate with hosts.
