The pictures can't do the cabins justice. They are both extremely beautiful. Not only the location, but the cabin itself is also fantastic. It was clean, there was air conditioning, a nice bathroom and kitchen. The sun greets you every morning and combined with the sound of that gorgeous ocean it really is the best way to start your day. Michelle gave us all sorts of helpful tips on where to go, the food at the bar was amazing and the drinks were delicious. Tiny's is located in the middle of the island, making it a great starting point to explore the island. It was great that we could borrow beach chairs and paddle boards/kayaks and the hammocks outside were very relaxing. It was the perfect honeymoon spot for us and we definitely recommend it to others!

Jason and Michelle's place is secluded but not remote. You have all the amenities that you would have at home but with an amazing view. The cottage itself is sturdy and sound. We weathered several T-storms during our stay. Michelle was awesome! She helped out with rental car, finding a cake, and helium for balloons! You can't go wrong at this place. Highly recommended. 10/10 would visit again. Thank you soo much for making for making us feel welcomed and ensuring that our trip was a success!

John and I always knew we'd get married at the beach, and being kind of anti-spotlight, we decided to elope. We settled on Long Island because we wanted an adventure, but also a vacation; someplace new and exciting that still provided the comforts of a good getaway. We got exactly what we wanted, though better than we could have hoped for. Here's why: I know other reviewers harp on the merits of hosts Michelle and Jason, but this review would be inaccurate if I didn't reiterate the sentiment: Michelle and Jason are freaking awesome. They were there when we needed them (both in communication and in person), but left us alone when we didn't. We would not have had ceremony of our dreams had it not been for Michelle's all-in attitude in helping us with the oversees logistics. Both she and Jason are a down-to-earth, determined duo that breath life into this little bit of beach, and it makes a world of difference. As for the setup, it's just right. The cottages are beautifully and functionally designed, and add a bit of luxury to the experience. The on-site restaurant is wonderfully convenient and delicious (we ate there three nights in a row), and the din of the other diners never bothered us while in our cottage. The water outside your door is clear and calm, but I will say the sand is lacking (due to last year's hurricane). Bring water shoes/sandals to wade into the water as it's pretty rocky. Still, there was nothing better than setting up the provided beach chairs at the edge of the ocean and looking out over the bay, or taking one of the paddle boards or kayaks (also provided) out into that amazing blue. Another point of advice: do rent a car. They're expensive, but worth it; exploring other beaches (especially Cape Santa Maria), Columbus Point, Dean's Blue Hole, and other awesome features unique to Long Island really enhances your trip and helps you to appreciate this wonderful place. Lastly, let me say this: Our travel to Long Island did not go as planned (no one's fault but our own). In short, due to a passport mishap, what was supposed to be one day of travel each way turned into three days getting there and two days traveling back (that's eight planes, two border-crossing boats, three extra hotel stays, endless hours in airports, a couple tearful moments, and a major dent in our bank account). That being said, we would do it again in a heartbeat. We nearly decided to forego the trip; had we done so, we'd never be the wiser to what we missed out on. Despite everything, it was absolutely worth it. We can't wait to go back.

Wow, this is the paradise! First of all, thanks to Michelle and Jason to make our trip as convenient as possible. Michelle provided us all the information about Long Island we needed before we started our trip and organized a rental car, which was waiting for us at the airport. Jason welcomed us on our first day on the island and told us where to find all the hidden beaches and beatiful places we must see. The cottages are super comfortable and the location is just breathtaking. It's fantastic to wake up to that view. This was the perfect vacation for us! Thanks again, hope to see you soon! Originally from Sausalito, CA husband and wife team, Jason Whitaker and Michelle Rickman had a long time dream of living that island lifestyle. The dream and search was called “Operation More Palm Trees”. Tiny's Bahamas is the product of Operations More Palm Trees. Jason and Michelle created their dream lifestyle by way of sharing their love for Long Island’s charm and character by offering to those with similar dreams and travel aspirations moderately priced boutique style accommodation with a bonus thatched roof beach bar for travelers wishing to escape and experience the Bahamas at it’s laid back best.
