Welcome to our hilltop retreat! From the walkway outside the entrance you’ll catch a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay—a daily reminder of why we love living here. The walk up from Le Roy Avenue is steep, but we think of it as built-in exercise and a great way to end the day.

We’re just a short stroll to Euclid Avenue’s cafés, deli, restaurants, and small grocery, and about a 15-minute walk to Shattuck Avenue for Safeway, the dining hub, and the original Peet’s Coffee. The same distance in the other direction brings you to the Berkeley Rose Garden (spectacular sunsets!) and Codornices Park.

This quiet Northside neighborhood is home to many upper-division and graduate Cal students who value peace and safety. Next door is Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity. They’re friendly and occasionally gather in the front of their building, but this unit sits behind theirs so most sounds are well blocked.

This Airbnb is one of four units on the property and the only unit on the first level, newly built for modern comfort. Your private entrance is reached via the shared backyard, with a few steps along the way. The backyard itself is a zen-like hideaway with a waterfall, pond, and mature trees, including a graceful Japanese maple.

Inside, you’ll find 2 bedrooms—one with a queen bed and private bath, the other with two twin XL beds and a hall bath. Bathrooms feature rainfall and handheld showers. Each bedroom has a custom closet system, mirrored closet doors, desk, individual heat/AC, and room-darkening shades for a restful night's sleep.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, Vitamix blender, rice cooker, and a breakfast bar with seating for three. The living room offers a leather daybed for lounging or extra sleeping, a 65” Sony TV with Google TV, a Levoit air purifier for clean, fresh air, and a small dining table for group meals or game nights.

Extras include in-unit washer/dryer, ultra-fast 1-gig fiber shared internet (with wired ethernet in each bedroom), one onsite parking space with free EV charging, and a printer for free printing.

We, with our kids, and other tenants, live above, so you may hear the occasional footstep, but we’re always conscious of being good neighbors.

Guest access
You’ll have private access to the entire apartment, including both bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and the shared backyard with waterfall and pond. Entry is simple and secure: a keypad code (provided before check-in) unlocks the gate and unit door—no keys to carry. Guests also enjoy one onsite parking space.

Booking Requirements: Please ensure your Airbnb ID is verified before booking and include all guests’ Airbnb profiles in the reservation.

Supplies: An initial supply of essentials—hand soap, shampoo, body wash, paper towels, and toilet paper—is provided to get you started. Guests should plan to replenish these items as needed during their stay.

Smoking: No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property.

Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum between 10 PM and 8 AM to respect our neighbors and upstairs residents.

Pets: House-trained pets may be considered with prior approval.

Access: Stairs are required to reach the unit.

Noise: This is a multi-unit property. Residents live above the apartment, so you may hear normal household sounds or footsteps from time to time.

Security: Exterior security cameras are installed around the property for everyone’s safety.
