The Oasis is miraculously nestled in the heart of Portland's hottest neighborhood. It is serenely set within a quiet grassy courtyard, under an old cherry tree, only half a block off of SE Division Street. Enjoy this two bedroom retreat with plenty of room for 5 adults. With a walk-score of 88, you can get to Salt & Straw, Pok Pok, or Ava Gene's in under 3 minutes. We offer off-street parking & A/C. Enjoy walking to either Laurelhurst Park or Mt Tabor in about 30 minutes
The 2 upstairs bedrooms are beautiful, are well furnished with extra blankets, pillows, a dresser and closet space. There is a desk in one of the bedrooms (yellow room) for those who are desiring a quiet writing spot. (please note that only the upstairs bedrooms have air conditioners)
Downstairs is a lounge/TV room with a double size futon sofa for additional sleep space.
This room is big enough to stretch out, do yoga, and lounge in front of the TV with a good movie.
The bathroom, located on the first floor, is a full bath with shower only. We provide all natural shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion and hair dryer.
Charming kitchenette has a toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, french press, tea pot, dishes, silverware, wine glasses and other basics.
We provide coffee (regular & decaf), assortment of teas,
organic cream, sugar and honey.
The backyard is a lovely space to take in the sun either lounging on the grass or sitting at the table and chairs under the old cherry tree.
Interaction with guests
Feel free to let me know your preference around interacting with me personally or anyone else on the property.
Other things to note
The property where The Oasis is located also has 2 other houses with full time residents. So when you are here you may see other residents and they will know you are a guest. If you desire to ask them for any tips on fun places to eat, brew pubs, or local sites, they will be happy to offer suggestions. If your preference is to have more solitude you can let us know and we will pass that along to other residents. Our desire is that your stay here is exactly what you want so feel free to communicate any needs.
- Shoe free in the cottage
-Please respect our neighbors. Outdoor quiet time begins at 9pm weekdays and 10pm on the weekends.
My husband (Bob) and I love all that Portland has to offer, in particular good food being the top on that list. Exploring new restaurants is something, as a couple, we really enjoy and now we have a few favorite go to's that are in our neighborhood (like Cibo and Xico)
City life is fun for us but our biggest passion is nature. Mt. Tabor, which is about a 10min. drive from us, has become my second home. Any chance I get I am hiking to the top for the picturesque view that overlooks the city. There are beautiful wooded trails as well as open areas to take in the sky.
