"A little piece of heaven on earth…." A quote from a very happy guest.

The space
Perfect for romantic breaks with a difference. Close to Frome for the renowned Frome Festival, Stourhead, Longleat, Cheddar, Wells & Bath yet set in beautiful countryside. Delightful private garden.
Sleeps two on a large mezzanine overlooking the main room.

It is an old Methodist chapel beautifully converted - a calm serene space to chill out, play the piano, read, write, listen to music and walk. There is an open plan kitchen with all the necessary equipment to make lovely food, which we can deliver if needed. The bathroom is modern; has a bath with a shower. For chilly winter days there is underfloor heating. The garden is secluded and has a table and chairs ideal for relaxing and eating in.

The chapel in recent years was a studio used as a design studio by the photographer owner Tim Mercer and his partner Helen. Tim's photographs are part of the artwork on the walls in the chapel.

Where you’ll be

Shepton Mallet , Somerset, United Kingdom

The neighbourhood is a small hamlet - it is very quiet and peaceful except perhaps at haymaking time when occasional tractors are trundling along the lanes.

...and I am a graphic designer running a design company together with my husband Tim who is a photographer. We used to work from the chapel until a few years ago when we found we needed more space for our design company so we moved to a renovated Cow Byre locally. The Chapel then was used to house our excess furniture for a whlle until we realised we were neglecting this lovely peaceful building, so decided to give it a bit more loving care hence the renovation into this gorgeous holiday let.

During your stay

We do not live on the premises - we are two miles away living in our own converted chapel and are always at the end of a phone to help out if and when needed.
