The " Lazzarini- Battiala" palace is a part of the baroque country-side castle built in 1797.Martinski, a peaceful place, great for biking, hiking, picking herbs, enjoying the nature, only 10 min.away from Labin and 15min.away from beautiful beaches!
The palace Lazzarini-Battiala is protected by the Republic of Croatia-Ministry of culture, so this was respected during the restoration - all the rooms and interior were left as they were, we only added the sanitary facilities. The furniture is mostly from the time of our grandparents which we restored and saved of throughing away. On the groundfloor we have a wine cellar and fireplace, a nice place for gatherings
Guests have access to the terrace and courtyard where they can eat their meals or just rest, chat or read a book.
A parking place is available for each guest.
Interaction with guests
Every guest is welcomed with a welcome drink and provided with all needed information about the destination. I am present at the listing most of the time and I am always available for information or help.
Since we also run a pottery business , we can also organize pottery workshops for groups of at least 6 persons, as well as guided hiking and biking tours.
Other things to note
Airconditioning in the apartment is available, 3 hours of airconditioning per day are included in the price, extra hours cost 0,50€ per hour.
We serve a home-made breakfast in the wine cellar or konoba, from 08:00-10:00, the price is 7€ per person.
Washer, dryer, iron are available upon request.
We can organize transfer from and to the airport in Pula.
No pets allowed, no smoking in the rooms, peace is required after 23:00 in the evening.

I am from Labin, 45 years old, mother od two children and together with my husband Masimo I run a ceramic manufacture-pottery business Merania. The workshop is not far from Labin and in the pitoresque old city Labin we also run a small art gallery where our guests can practice handbuilding technics and working on the potters wheel.
