Other things to note

Some guests find the parking challenging as disclosed on our listing and in numerous reviews. Unfortunately we don't have control over association rules or city ordinances. And though it's sometimes a walk, the weather and safe neighborhood are made for it.

We offer:
Street parking for those staying 3 nights or less. Those staying staying longer can request a parking pass from us (pass based on availability):
-4-6 night stay: additional fee of $10 per night parking pass
-7+ night stay: $5 per night parking pass
*Parking fees will be collected through a direct pay request through Airbnb app.
*it is the responsibility of the guest to double check their pass to ensure accuracy of information. (Failure to place pass on the car dashboard can result in vehicle being towed from guest parking lot.)
*all vehicle info is needed before noon to receive a parking pass same day.

There are neighboring AirbNB options that offer their garage as parking, but as expected those do run about $40 additional per night.

We loved staying in Suzanne's place. It was very private, in a nice neighborhood and close to the beach. The parking was inconvenient and having read the reviews prior to arriving, I expected that it would be a challenge. If you stay long enough to get the pass- definitely get it. Other than the parking, the place was great, especially having the little kitchen in the room with us. We would stay here again. Thanks, Suzanne!

My wife and I arrived and was greeted by Suzanne and family. She gave us a brief walk through of the unit, gave me a parking pass for the during duration of our stay (but not without a reminder from me), and showed us where to park. The door of the unit is secured with a digital door lock. I like the idea so that keys are not required. It is a nice quiet neighborhood which is well maintained. There are strip malls (and a laundromat, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) "Pacific Laundromat") within 5-10 minutes drive. During our stay, water in the bath tub wouldn't drain quickly, i.e. it reached 1 foot of water when taking a shower. I informed Suzanne and she had someone take a look at it. It improved but wasn't completely resolved (still at least 6-8 inches of water). The wifi signal is not as strong as I expected it to be, i.e. always getting like 2-3 bars out of 5 for my phone. I believe this is due to the wifi router located too far away. My wife's iphone 5 almost always can't get a signal. If you have intention to visit Waikiki/Honolulu area for most of the duration of your stay, this location may be too far away. It takes almost an hour's drive during off-peak.

Overall stay was pleasant. Yes, as previous reviews stated parking is difficult, but not impossible. It wasn't a huge deal for us to find parking just around the corner. It helps if the rental vehicle is compact. Parking signs are clearly marked. Rule of thumb is don't block walk-ways, cant park near corners, and park on the outside of "no parking begins" and "no parking ends" signs. The private entrance was nice and really makes you feel like it is your own little apartment in paradise. AC blows cold! Just a couple things to note; wifi access is a bit limited. Often we either could not connect or often booted from connection. Its fair to note the whole island does suffer from a lack in high speed data access. Not a huge deal for us but it would have been great if we could relax to a Netflix movie at the end of a long day of exploring the island. Suzanne was great and got back to us fairly quickly prior to our arrival. Its a great home location if you are primarily will be exploring Honolulu or the west side of the island as they are a short drive away. Neighborhood is very safe and a security truck patrols the street. At no point did we feel unsafe. We would highly recommend Suzannes AirBnB.

Suzanne's place is amazing, a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach, very close to public transit. Not to mention the whole family was very welcoming and accommodating.

Location was good if you don't have a car. You will get a parking ticket or get towed without a parking pass. residential neighborhood. About 45 mins from Honolulu airport. The place was clean, but their were a few flies and ants, which is understandable since it is Hawaii. Parking was horrible! If you get the parking pass make sure that you are told where to park because I had no idea it was in the back. I got towed twice $130 each time. The first time was partly my fault for parking in the wrong place but was only given the parking pass with no instructions on where to park. Second time was on the owners of the house got the parking pass dates wrong. I was refunded for the second row but was a hassle to get the car and I had to pay for a lyft to get to the tow yard.

This space is absolutely perfect for 2 people. Parking is really tough so either illegally park *I did* or drive around for 20 mins and walk a half mile at 2 am :( all in all, it was a great place, very clean. Private with a good airconditioner.... happy travels
