The space
Please note that while the hosts’ home is 40 feet away from the pool house, guests will have the entire backyard and pool to themselves during their stay. We do our best to ensure your privacy by closing the back-facing window shades and may only enter the backyard for occasional maintenance purposes, such as pool cleaning. In these rare cases, we will let you know ahead of time.

Guest access
Guests will have full use of the driveway and entrance through our side gate and garden. The house is accessed by a keyless entry system.
Please note that while the host’s home is 40 feet away from the pool house, guests will have the entire backyard and pool to themselves during their stay. We will do our best to ensure your privacy and may only enter the shared space for occasional maintenance purposes, such as pool cleaning.
Other things to note
• Please ask us about blocked-off dates, especially if you are interested in a longer stay. We may be able to accommodate you.
• Parties of under 15 people may be allowed on a case-by-case basis and with an additional fee.
• We love musicians! Let us know if you want to borrow a guitar during your stay.
POOL INFO
• The pool will be heated to at least 80 degrees from October until March and at other times upon request.
NOTE: The pool is heated with a heat pump (not gas), so if the outdoor temperature drops below 50 degrees Fahrenheit for an extended period of time, the water may not be able to reach optimal temperature. If you would like the pool to be a higher temperature, please ask in advance of your stay.
• February and March is leaf drop season in Tampa, and the pool is not covered. The pool will be cleaned for your arrival, and we are more than willing to come out as often as you like to remove any additional leaves.
• We take pool safety very seriously. As such, you will find pool rules posted on the back porch and in the welcome book. Please read them carefully before swimming.
• Most importantly, there is NO DIVING allowed and children must NEVER be left unattended in or around the pool.
• The pool is 3 feet deep at the shallow end and 5 feet deep at the deep end (which is closest to the pool house). The deep end also features a 2-foot bench in the corner closest to the outdoor table.
• Per the Florida Residential Pool Safety Act, we provide a pool alarm (certified to ASTM Standard F2208) that sounds upon detection of an accidental or unauthorized entrance into the water, as well as exit alarms on all doors and windows providing direct access from the home to the pool.
• We also provide a life preserver for emergencies.
