My place is close to the centre of the village. It is ideal for one or two, self-catering - couples, solo adventurers, business travellers. Simple breakfast included. Room for parking to side and a space to the side of the spiral staircase if needed for storage. From October 20th 2016.
The space is like a tardis. It opens up at the top and is a warm, compact space, simply furnished. Although it is next to a village street on one side, it is generally quiet; you can hear owls in the evening sometimes.
You can access via the main house if we agree on a rough time of arrival or otherwise by a keysafe. The garden can be enjoyed, otherwise, it is just the studio space itself which is accessible.
Interaction with guests
I am usually around at weekends and sometimes in the week if guests want to say hello or share a drink. I can give advice on shops, places to visit and walks. I hope to offer bicycles - from March 2017.
Joining in February 2016 and hoping to travel and use Airbnb as a guest and a host. I have always enjoyed travelling and used to live in Central and South America. For years now though, I have been involved in design education and based largely in London. Recently, I have moved to a large and comfortable home that I hope to host from. It's not too far from London, in a lively village between three counties in the Midlands. I enjoy company, walking, films, good wine and food, reading, music and am interested in green issues.
