My place is close to the centre of the village. It is ideal for one or two, self-catering - couples, solo adventurers, business travellers. Simple breakfast included. Room for parking to side and a space to the side of the spiral staircase if needed for storage. From October 20th 2016.

The space

The space is like a tardis. It opens up at the top and is a warm, compact space, simply furnished. Although it is next to a village street on one side, it is generally quiet; you can hear owls in the evening sometimes.

Guest access

You can access via the main house if we agree on a rough time of arrival or otherwise by a keysafe. The garden can be enjoyed, otherwise, it is just the studio space itself which is accessible.

Interaction with guests

I am usually around at weekends and sometimes in the week if guests want to say hello or share a drink. I can give advice on shops, places to visit and walks. I hope to offer bicycles - from March 2017.

This is a compact space, but gorgeous. Such a comfortable bed! Harriet was a great host, excellent proactive communication before and during check in and really delightful to talk to. The only downside was not being able to connect to the internet but even with that we'd happily stay again!

Response from Harriet:
Thanks so much Leander. I know a few guests think the studio is not that big so it is great to read how much you appreciated the arrangement of the space! It was restored and designed before I arrived but I really enjoyed painting and sorting out the interior. Thanks again. Harriet

Joining in February 2016 and hoping to travel and use Airbnb as a guest and a host. I have always enjoyed travelling and used to live in Central and South America. For years now though, I have been involved in design education and based largely in London. Recently, I have moved to a large and comfortable home that I hope to host from. It's not too far from London, in a lively village between three counties in the Midlands. I enjoy company, walking, films, good wine and food, reading, music and am interested in green issues.
