Baleveolan Croft has a special ethos " do good things, leave good things behind" When we bought the croft we consulted with many islanders who said there was a desperate need for visitor accommodation on the Isle of Lismore so after much soul searching we applied for planning permission for purpose built accommodation for visitors to the island. We are developing the land and planting 10 000 trees and fruiting bushes and have just planted 500 tea plants so that we will be selling Baleveolan Croft tea in the future . There are sheep and sometimes cows on the croft as well as our rescued hens. They are fenced off but you will see them. We live close by to the village hall and shop and a ten minute walk to the Gaelic Heritage Centre, cafe and museum. From our croft you can take a stroll to beautiful Sailean home of a delightful antiquated harbour and the lime kilns and quarry where the lime industry of Lismore was economically critical in days gone by. You will love the quietness, wide open landscape and the mighty Loch Linhe ( part of the Great Glen fault Line) in which the metamorphic limestone Isle of Lismore is situated. We have regular cinema evenings at the Hall as well as Ceilidhs and dances at various points in the year. Our nearest neighbour runs fabulous Music Workshops at various points of the year. Our place is perfectly located should you want to come and attend a weekend or week long workshop. We have a wonderful Gaelic Heritage Centre and Cafe a fifteen minute walk away open in the season, We can arrange vegetable boxes, speciality bread, free range eggs, jams and preserves and much more, we are happy to assist. The local shop is open 9-5 except Wednesday and Saturdays morning opening, closed on Sunday. Whatever the weather you can be sure the bunkhouse is really warm cosy and comfy and a cheerful welcome awaits you.

Let me know in advance if you'd like anything prepared in advance. I live on the croft in the house only a few hundred steps away and can always be reached.
