Apartment was quite large and spacious in a central downtown LA location. Plenty of bars/restaurants around. There are parking lots nearby but at a cost. Area is quite sketchy however, I believe it is the Jewellery District, and would advise caution. Photo of the rooftop area is not at this location. The photo provided is ironically at another apartment complex a couple of blocks away that we actually stayed at earlier on our trip. However the views from this apartment complex are arguably better. There were no towels/hand towels provided. It seemed that the towels we should have had were dirty and sitting in the washing machine. Had to prompt the host for check-in instructions on the morning of the trip, however he was friendly and responded extremely quickly. The AC is ridiculously loud. It is like some sort of industrial unit which sits on the wardrobe next to the bed. We had no idea how to switch it off, and I've never known an AC unit to be so loud. I think this needs sorting asap for future guests as we struggled to sleep.

Zach's place was perfect, very central, and easy to navigate from. Great views from the rooftop and I enjoyed the downtown scenery.

Pros(ish): Decent size and location. There's a parking structure down the street so you'll just have to walk through some crazies to get there. The pool on the roof is very small and 4.5 ft deep so don't expect much. Cons: The apartment was not thoroughly cleaned. There were hairs and dust on the toilet and tub, counters/table didn't seem to be wiped down at all, floors had lots of ick on them(stuff will get stuck on the bottom of your feet if you're walking around barefoot). There were also no hand towels or paper towels anywhere and only half a roll of toilet paper. We didn't feel comfortable spending the night here so we ended up finding something else last minute. Sadly when I brought this to Zach's attention, he was very defensive and refused any sort of refund (we didn't even ask for one). If cleanliness is important to you, I wouldn't recommend staying here. If you do stay here, just be sure to bring your own towels for the pool/ bathroom as well as toiletries to be safe. Our price of $177/night just seemed a bit high for what it was.

Conflicted on this review. Zach was awesome. Great communication. The apartment appeared clean and was a great location but there seemed to be a rat problem. I could hear them scurrying in the roof. Didn't think much of it due to the age of the building. Assumed maybe it was a downtown Los Angeles problem and not necessarily a problem with the unit. Then at 3am I was startled awake by the sound of a rat scurrying across the floor inside the unit from under the bed to the kitchen. Needless to say didn't get great sleep. I would recommend them fixing the pest issue.

This apartment was great! It is located in down town LA so expect a lot of traffic and pay as you park! Lucky The host, Zack, informed us of a parking garage located on 6th and Main which we paid about $13 for overnight stay. The apartment itself has no windows so it is dim but we actually preferred that, and it is very studio like. The balcony area is connected to the other tenants so be sure to lock the sliding door. Location was great, it was near many bars and shopping centers along with grocery stores. The walls are very thin and you can hear the upstairs dog walking around. Over all, we had an amazing stay and got to experience a little bit of how Living in LA would be. Over all rate 9/10!

The apartment wasn't very clean (crumbs on floor & couch, scum on shower door & walls, stovetop & kitchen sink needed wiped down, etc.) and there was 0 instruction provided on the check-in & check-out processes. Had I not messaged the night before, I would've had no information on how to enter the building or anything. I also thought the picture of the view and surrounding area was misleading. Zach seemed nice and was easy to get in touch with, but the process could've been more organized and the apartment could've been cleaner.
