I'll do this in English for non-Japanese visitors. The accommodation is a very typical two-story house from the later Showa era, very spacious and would be good for a group visitor to Izu. The house is mostly kept clean (especially the toilet was brand new), but I saw a handful of harmless spiders in the house, so if you hate bugs it may be a little difficult. It's right next to the train track so you will hear some noise but it only runs a couple times an hour. The location is one station away from the famous Ito hot springs, and though there are only 1~2 trains every hour, you could probably also take a bus or ride the bike there. We rented a car in Ito which was a great idea since getting around with just public transportation is a little inconvenient. Seiya has a bunch of folders and files of all the local information in both Japanese and English, which was super helpful! Check-out was quite strict and the cleaning lady came at 10AM sharp, so better be ready to leave by then. Overall the experience was good, and I would recommend it for a group of 5+ people.

Wow, the photos online don't do the place justice!! Seiya's house was soooo clean, with new sponges, clean bath/restroom, clean kitchen, clean tatami, etc. I stayed with 5 other people and his house had enough room for all of us to rest comfortably. We came out for the beach in Ito and it was only a 10 minute walk/5 minute drive away to park right by the shore. Also Seiya's house had an A/C unit on both floors for the hot summer night, and a nice fridge to keep the drinks in :D! I hope we can return to Ito and stay here again in the future ^_^

Seiya's house is an incredible stay while in Japan. If you are looking to stay in the area I would highly recommend staying here. It is an incredibly clean and traditional house with all of the modern upgrades like WiFi and air conditioning. The beach is 2 blocks away and the bicycles are a great way to travel Usami. Directions were clear and close to the station. If I am in Japan again, I would make a special trip there just to visit again. It was a nice slow down from some of the huge cities like Tokyo.

Nice, spacious, clean house with easy and friendly communication with host. As other reviewers stated the house is right next to the train line but our baby slept through the noise so it wasn't a problem. Our only critique is that the futons and blankets we're quite thin which did not make for the most comfortable of sleeps and the town itself is a small working town so had to travel a bit to get to the sites.

Seiya User ProfileSeiya is a superhost.

My name is Seiya.
I live in Izu peninsula.
I am currently enrolled in graduate school.I have been writing a paper of tax law.
And I am operating a small company of realestate.
My hobby is fishing and go for ride and shoot a photograph.
I hope you have a good trip in Japan!
You can ask me about Izu peninsula anything you want.Don't hesitate!
I support your explore the Izu peninsula to the best of my ability.
I think true Japanese culture consists in rural areas.
Unfortunately currently, there are three major problems in the rural areas of Japan: low birthrate and aging population, population decrease, many vacant houses.
At one time I was working on politics in Tokyo. However, in order to solve those problems I returned to my hometown and founded a company.
I renovate the vacant house and lend it to everyone.
In addition, I am hiring local grandmothers as cleaning staff.
All believe that you will know Izu 's wonderful environment and lead to immigration.
Finally, I'm afraid my expressions maybe rude or hard to read, because I'm not so good at English. But please be patient!I will try hard to learn English!
Thank you.
