Thank you for your review but we were shocked and concerned to hear of the experience you have detailed with the noise outside the cottages on one evening. This is all the more surprising as when you spoke to Kim to extend your stay due to your baby’s illness, you made no mention of this and said you’d had an enjoyable time. It is regrettable that you did not report this to us at the time as we could have intervened.
We pride ourselves on being in a quiet location so to hear of any noise issues from the pub is of particular concern. Having seen your review we were immediately in contact with the owners of the holiday park and the manager of the pub to ask for their comments. We have been advised that being the Christmas period, there were functions and they apologise for any noise from customers exiting the pub. They deny that the police were called in relation to any disturbance and have advised that the timing was a coincidence as they were there to see the manager of the pub, Wayne Sleeman, on a totally unrelated issue. Mr Sleeman has asked us to pass on his sincere apologies and I will email you directly with details of his ex-gratia gesture.
Many of our clients are return guests as they particularly enjoy the quiet location and the facilities available. We are genuinely sorry that the disturbance outside the cottages over Christmas marred your stay in our cottages and we do hope this will not deter you from booking with us in the future.
Last but certainly not least, we do hope your baby has now fully recovered.
