Our beautiful home is nestled in a Redwood Grove in the quaint town of Monte Rio. It's quiet, perfectly designed, and less than 2 hours from San Francisco by car. The house has three bedrooms, a gorgeous long outdoor & indoor table for dinner parties, a hammock and beautiful retro design which make this an ideal place for a couple (or three!) to enjoy a getaway!
This is a newly renovated 1970s Modernist house in Monte Rio. The house looks out onto Northwoods Golf Course, a surreal forest of 150 foot tall redwood trees surrounded by soft flat green grass on a bend in the Russian River. The Russian River is about 100 feet away (though *please note* you will only be able to access the river from the pebble beach off the main road, which is a short 5 minute drive by car away). It's perfect for a couple (or 3!) who love art, design, Redwoods and blissful relaxation!
The entire house is yours. When you're not here, our family is, so you'll be sharing the space with our things (and our art). We ask that you respect our belongings and leave things as you found them.
There's a big main room with a comfortable couch, chairs and coffee table for hanging out, a (non-working) fireplace, high ceilings and plenty of closet space. There are three separate rooms that can be used as bedrooms. One master bedroom has a queen sized bed and a attached full bath; another room has a queen sized bed and an adjacent bathroom and shower. The third room is usually a TV room but has a futon/couch that folds out into a very comfortable full size bed. We will provide fresh linens, sheets and towels.
There are two bathrooms, one attached to the master bedroom (with bath and shower) and one off the main room, with just a shower. There is also an indoor dining area that seats eight, and an outdoor redwood table that can fit ten, and fully equipped kitchen. We have a gas range stove, a big sink, dishwasher, microwave, plenty of nice cookware (and very cool vintage Heath plates!), oven, pots, pans, plates, utensils, and cabinet and fridge space for you to use, plus counter space if you like to cook. Please note we do *not* have a barbecue. There's also a french press for coffee and a teapot.
There's a washing machine and dryer in the garage which you are welcome to use.
We do have a security camera in the dining room that faces outside, so we can keep an eye on access from the porch when the house is vacant. We don't check it unless there's an incident, and it does not record sound. But you are welcome to unplug it during your stay (though we ask that you plug it back in when you leave).
We ask that you check in after 4 pm and check out by 11 am. If you need a more flexible check in, please message us well in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Interaction with guests
The day of your arrival, we will send you a code to enter the house. Inside you'll have a document that explains everything you need to know (including the wifi code) and some fun local spots. You'll have our contact info and can reach us if needed.
Other things to note

I'm an American who loves to travel- I try to visit at least 2 new countries per year! I like to cook, and I always bring my yoga mat with me wherever I go. I'm a very respectful guest (my parents trained me well) and an excellent writer of thank-you-notes.
