I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Joaquin and his accommodation. He went out of his way to make sure that my mother's stay at his place was a delightful one. We were able to adjust our dates twice with short notice and Joaquin kept in contact to make sure everything we needed was taken care of. The place itself has all the amenities one can need. It is in an ideal location and provides a very relaxing atmosphere. The patio is a major plus and has a very homely and comfortable feel. All of this combined with Joaquin's welcoming and helpful nature have made this stay a memorable one. He is truly the epitome of what an AirBnB host should be!

We really enjoyed living in this apartment. The view of the canal and the mountain from the balcony is amazing. It encouraged me to go take a walk in the morning. I ended up taking long walks to the waikiki beach and seeing the sun rise almost every day. The apartment is in a barebones, smallish building compared to other buildings in the area. I didn't find a pool or a place to work out in the building. Afaik it's just a place to live. There's a garbage chute on the same floor so getting rid of the garbage is pretty easy. There are laundary machines on the first floor ($1 for washer and $0.75 for dryer, remember to keep change handy, no cards). There's a lot of stuff already provided with the apartment, almost everything we needed and more. There are numerous towels and bedsheets :). Things we didn't find enough of and would be good to buy early: toilet paper, sugar, bathing soap, washing detergent. We had a car rented for the entire trip. The apartment doesn't come with parking but there is street parking nearby. I wouldn't say finding street parking is easy, but if you're willing to spend 10-15 minutes a day to find parking then it's definitely possible, I found parking every day except one (that day I didn't try much, was too tired). Note that there are a few back up options in case you don't find free parking by the canal next to the apartment. If you drive to the very beginning of Ala Wai Boulevard there's always parking there, but it's like a 20 min walk from there. There's a public parking garage couple blocks away that is $24 per day, it's expensive but it's great that there's a fallback in case you're out of luck. Most hotels in Waikiki charge > $30 per night for parking so $24 is not too bad for a back up option. If you drive around Ala Wai Canal couple times you'll likely find parking though. Note that the Canal parking has to be vacated between 8:30 am and 11:30 am on every Monday and Friday. The roadside parking in front of the roads perpendicular to the canal is free at night but becomes paid at 7am, so be ready to get up really early if you park there. Mornings in Hawaii are beautiful so it's not as bad as it may sound, it may be a blessing in disguise :). Some of the furniture in the apartment is not in best shape but otherwise the apartment is very functional. The bathroom is pretty good size for the apartment. The best part is the location. Right on the canal with great views, plus only couple blocks from the main strip. Overall great value for money. I would rent it all over again.

This condo is well positioned and is in close proximity to shopping centers, public transport and the Waikiki beach. The condo was clean, very comfortable and has everything you would need. Joaquin was a wonderful host and very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity to visit Hawaii again.

Excellent hospitality. Joaquin is an excellent host and worked with us from everything to finding parking to allowing us to extend our trip to stay an extra night. The condo is in excellent shape and has all the amenities you could need and is walking distance to everything in Waikiki. Definitely would recommend staying here.
