It's a lovely apartment in a lovely building in a charming chocolate box village.. great walks on the doorstep and peaceful... no traffic noise- thoroughly recommend.

We spent 2 weeks at the Riverwalk Mill flat in Airton, North Yorkshire. The flat was outstanding: immaculately clean, spacious & comfortably furnished with great beds, pillows, and linens, along with a fully equipped kitchen for home cooking. The piano was an extra fun plus, especially since the host left plenty of music in the piano bench. The flat overlooked the Aire River, creating a lovely audio background for meditation. Hiking trails right out the door made easy access to the Penine Way trail and offered almost limitless possibilities for local hiking. The well-known Malham Cove & Tarn were especially great, offering moderately strenuous hikes rewarded with breathtaking views of the rugged Yorkshire Dales. The nearest large-ish village of Skipton offered plenty of shopping opportunities, and Bronte country was within a half-hour drive. We can't say enough about our stay. The host was gracious & extremely helpful and communicative, even allowing us an early arrival to meet our convenience - plus a lovely flat, and gorgeous location. We would certainly return on another trip to Yorkshire and can highly recommend this to others.

Really lovely house in a fantastic location for exploring the local area. Well equipped kitchen, very spacious living area, nice rooms and even some board games to keep us busy! Very enjoyable trip and Jesca was available and helpful throughout.

Great location and wonderful cottage. Extremely spacious with very comfortable beds. Perfect layout all adding up to the most relaxing and enjoyable of breaks. Jesca's communication with us prior to our arrival was first rate. I cannot recommend this airbnb highly enough.

Fantastic, clean, comfortable and spacious apartment in an idyllic setting; a great deal for the price. The well-equipped kitchen is handy, as there's not a huge number of "eating out" options in walking distance of the apartment. We did notice a strong smell of damp in the lower floor – perhaps reflecting a fault with the heater (which the host advised us of before we arrived, and had fixed very promptly).

I enjoy walking, especially in the Dales, and dance, music and flowers. My cottage at Airton is an ideal base for exploring the southern Dales and I take advantage of it whenever I can. Just a couple of miles from one of my favourite walks, the scramble up the waterfall at Gordale Scar, and within walking distance of a pub that serves good Yorkshire fare, it has everything I need for a relaxed break.
There is a selection of DVDs, books and games for you to enjoy and loads of information about things to do in the area to enable you to get the most from your visit.
I also have a townhouse in Skipton for those who prefer being based in a bustling market town while still enjoying the tranquility of the Dales on their doorstep.
