When designing this space, I travelled back and fro between my two roles: Airbnb host and Airbnb guest. I asked myself: as a frequent Airbnb guest, what do I value most if I can only name two things? My answer is, resoundingly, a Clean space and a Comfortable bed.
With this vision, I allocated 70% of the room refurnishing budget to mattress and bedding. After a long day, it's time for you to pamper yourself with this Select Luxury 10-inch AirFlow Foam mattress and star hotel bedlinen. I feel thrilled whenever my guests tell me how much they enjoyed the comfortable bed and the professionally cleaned and ironed bedlinen.
My metaphorical mysophobia also drove me to a higher standard of cleanness. I go extra miles to have two on-site cleaners to take care of the eight-guest-room house. Again, nothing makes me feel better than hearing guests say "This room is freaking clean," or "This is the cleanest Airbnb room I've ever stayed in." If you have a habit of sleeping naked, feel assured to do so because "cleanness" is guaranteed. Thanks go to Ping and her husband, who conscientiously maintain the standard of "cleanness" of this Airbnb home.
There are 8 guest rooms in this 2-storey house with 1 restroom on each level and 1 eat-in kitchen in the basement.
Basic self-service breakfast include bread, cereal and instant noodle. You are welcome to use the kitchen appliances and cookware.
As guest, you have full access to all the common areas of this building.
Interaction with guests
Because I am traveling most of the time, I appreciate it if you can help yourself check in and check out. This being said, I will be always available to answer questions and provide assistance via Airbnb messaging or phone call. If there is an emergency, call me or go to the basement unit and knock on the door.

Just like many of you, I have a wanderlust. I always love the adventure of travel – the unknown, something different, something new. I have been extremely lucky to continuously feed my passion for travel.
I love the excitement of it all–feeling like an explorer–discovering a new land, a new language, new money and all the little challenges that go along with it. When I travel, I am more spontaneous and don't live for the future or the past… just in the moment.
I love the rush. Habitual runners get off on the kick-in of endorphins that give them that extra boost they need to keep going. I get the same jolt from a day of travel or an unexpected side trip to a new and undiscovered land that I hadn't planned to visit. Traveling seems to give me a near constant adrenaline rush. After a few years of uninterrupted travel, I became quite addicted to this feeling.
I love the logistics. I like landing in a new place and trying to figure it all out myself. Where to get money. How to speak the language. How to go from point A to point B. How to pack my bag right so I don't go insane after packing it for the 135th time.
I love meeting new people all the time. In no other time in my life have I met so many people and made so many new friends in such a short time. The world is full of friendly, generous people.
I love the freedom. I experience a great feeling of independence from traveling. I can go wherever I want, whenever I want. I can sleep in. I can stay out late. It's all up to me.
