Fernanda's cabin was beautiful. Everything about it was better than the pictures even show -- clean, comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a home cooked dinner, the beds were comfortable, and the location is beautiful! The hot tub on cold nights was a definite plus that we took advantage of. Would definitely stay there again!

What a win! Fernanda's cabin was exactly what we were wanting, and was represented quite well in the photographs...even more so! When we arrived, you could barely see the house at all, as it was buried under a colossal amount of snow: this excited us to no end! The pathway to the door and the driveway had been shoveled out, and the house was perfectly appointed. Our kids, 10 & 12, had a blast playing outside with their sleds, while we settled in to the cozy atmosphere with a roaring fire, comfy blankets, and scrabble, staring out of the wall-to-wall windows at the preposterously beautiful tableau of snowy trees and distant mountains. Absolutely the coziness place you can imagine. The kitchen is extremely well-appointed, with a beautiful new KitchenAid stove and dishwasher, as well as every appliance you'll need. There is a Chemex coffee maker, which we also use at home, and they had ground coffee and filters for us. The grocery store in Tahoe City is just a short and beautiful drive along the Truckee River. Beds are extremely comfortable, stacked with cozy down comforters and good pillows. The bunk room, which our kids shared, is super cozy. Thick, new towels were stacked in the bathrooms, which were also stocked with soap, shampoo, and other goodies. The showers are FABULOUS, especially after a hard day of powder skiing...and the hot tub was a godsend. We have ski passes at Alpine/Squaw, and the house could not be more convenient for skiing: it's about a 2 minute drive to the Alpine parking lot. Inside of the house, there is a gear room/mudroom replete with trays for ski boots, hooks for clothing and helmets, and baskets for gloves, etc. very well thought through. I have used Airbnb many, many times, and have always had a great experience, this time included. Fernanda really showed her professionalism as a host and kindness when we arrived and found that there was no hot water...the propane tank just needed to be filled up, no biggie, but she extended us an extra night's stay for free, which spoke volumes. She and her husband are exemplary hosts...kind, responsive, and accommodating. I would love to come back to this cozy little slice of heaven, especially with all of the powder skiing we're still having this year! It would be a wonderful place to stay in the summertime, too, as the house is located among some of the best hiking around. All around fantastic experience. Thank you, Fernanda!

This is a great cabin in the Alpine Meadows Valley. Very nicely remodeled and decorated. Great location close to the ski lifts (5 min drive to Alpine). Nice area around the house for kids to play. We hope to be back!
