A truly amazing stay. The very cosy and authentic cabin made us feel right at home the second we walked in. We were able to easily cook and prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is great and we spent every night relaxing in the sauna. The surrounding nature is stunning, and we were able to go on some great hikes, as well as spending one of the day's sunbathing by the river, which was great. Although Marianne wasn't there when we stayed, her husband, Roy, was extremely welcoming and kind. We can't wait to come back soon!

Lovely house in a beautiful forest with a lake nearby. The house itself was very nice and warm with everything we needed.

Me and 4 of my old housemates from University decided to stay at this gorgeous house in the woods in Norway as we have never visited the country before and decided to do so in style. We were not disappointed! Once you settle in and get the fire going it's nice and cosy. There is plenty of space, lots of added extras (like the Sauna!) and we really felt at home. Marianne was very friendly and let us know how to get to the nearest grocery store (about 15 minutes away by car). The house is about 40 minutes drive along easy roads to Oslo city centre and about an hour away from Oslo Gardermoen airport. Overall we are all very satisfied with the cabin in the woods!

Absolutely stunning cabin in an amazing location, we loved every minute of our stay. Everything we needed was provided and more. We were left open mouthed at the barn - a wonderful and unexpected surprise. Marianne, Roy, Ooffa dog and the cat were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Rustling up some breakfast and dropping us at the bus stop was no problem. Thank you so much x

Home was exactly as expected, cozy, clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing in the sauna and by the fire after a nice long walk in the woods. House was in perfect location away from the populated areas but close enough to allow a short drive to what you needed. The hosts were very welcoming and accomodating. Would highly recommend staying here.

I have been living here for more than 20 years, and I love it. When I´m not here you can find me scubadiving in the Red Sea, or playing in the wild Sahara desert. I enjoy listening to music, good food and wine, animals and nature. I am friendly and welcoming, and will do my best…
