The space

From the Balinese entrance-gate of Villa Omah Padi, a stepping-stones walkway framed with fishponds leads through a large living pavilion bordered with lush gardens towards the main courtyard. Featuring a swimming pool, sun deck, semi-open living environment, fully equipped kitchen, exclusive bathroom facilities and air-conditioned bedrooms.

Villa Omah padi was fully completed in December 2012, with a traditional design and modern conveniences.

In the open living area, thatched roofs and bold bamboos are gracefully exposed and appear to be modern with the highly selected quality furniture. In this living pavilion, an open dining space is accommodated, together with a spacious kitchen that connects to the staff quarter area. By using limited selection of materials, the simplicity and purity of the house are enhanced. The unique lighting in the pavilions and gardens create another serene atmosphere during the evenings.
The master bedroom is on the upper level of the second building on the left side of the pavilion, where a private comfortable sitting area is located to enjoy the overview of the villa and the surrounding area. The second and third bedrooms are located on the first floor of the building overlooking the infinity swimming pool and tropical gardens. The 2 guest-bedrooms are located side by side in the 1-storey third building, on the right side of the pavilion.

Nestled among the area where nature is respected and encompassed by productive rice-fields and charming local villages, Villa Omah Padi has an ideal secluded sanctuary for families or small group of peaceful ambience seekers. It is the perfect escape and unique retreat to revive and cleanse your soul.

Discover the ultimate privilege of staying in a luxury private villa in a traditional area being famously known as the most artistic, spiritual and the cultural centre of Bali – the mystical Ubud.

Wow - Omah Padi is amazing! Probably one of the nicest villas we stayed at in Bali. I loved the location 10/15 minutes from Ubud, but totally out of the way with rice fields all around you. Very helpful staff. Will definitely recommend to friends and will come back again. Thank you!

Beautiful villa, fantastic hosts! We had a wonderful break! The pictures do not do it justice - it's beautiful. Thanks to Enny for all her great help!

Our group had a fantastic time at the villa. Gorgeous as the pictures are they don't quite do it justice. The villa was spotless and we and the villa were fantastically looked after by the staff. It's a little out of Ubud but just a 15-30 minute taxi ride away (depending on the time of day as traffic can get bad in Ubud) so worked perfectly as a idyllic quiet retreat with easy access to the restaurants and centre of Ubud. (Also they arranged for masseurs to visit the villa for a very reasonable fee and would definitely recommend this!) You can see from the photos, the feedback and location the type of holiday this is and if that attracts you would have no hesitation in recommending!

The place is very nice. Staff very friendly, the chef is super good and prepared lunch and dinner for us. If want to go to Ubud, they will call taxi for us. Very nice stay!

Enny and the Omah Padi team were wonderful. They make you feel welcome and are in regular contact with you as you plan your trip. This was my second time staying at the Villa, and we were even more pleased this time. Great secluded location that is still a short drive or walking distance to the south part of Ubud. Wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor relaxation - the pool is amazing! Friendly and hospitable staff make this the type of place we will come back to again when we have a large group.

We visit Bali regularly (twice a year) and have a lot of experience staying in private villas. Although this villa was clean, in an open area amongst the rice paddies, and had a great pool, we won’t be staying here again. We felt that the staff had the run of the place and we were just an inconvenience most of the time. On one occasion we politely asked a staff member if he wouldn't mind keeping the door to the staff room closed as cigarette smoke was billowing into the kitchen and living area of the villa from a staff gathering out the back. He became quite offended and refused to talk to us or make eye contact for the rest of the day. That night we headed out for dinner after locking our bedroom door. On our return we found our bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke.... Unlike most villas in Bali that offer a complimentary breakfast, the first breakfast here is included, but then you have to pay. There is a staff member present at all times. Not quite sure why, except for soaking up the ambience and free wi-fi, which they are using on their phones all of the time. If you want hand towels or flannels provided you have to ask. We also had to ask for towels regularly as they were often not replaced. There is also no shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms. Only shower gel. The hot water shut off twice during our stay – once at the kid’s shower/bed time, so was a bit inconvenient, and once in the middle of the day for hours, to their credit they got it fixed as soon as they could. The pool looks awesome in photos, and looks good in real life too, but to keep it clear, it is obvious that they use a LOT of chemicals. I have been in dozens of pools in Bali and i have never felt one that stings the eyes so much. It's almost unbearable. Unlike most villas too far to walk into Ubud, there is no free transport offered. It's $8AUD EACH WAY to get into and out of town. This distance is a $0.70 ride in a cab in Seminyak. To top it off, our complementary fruit basket was raided. How do we know? Let’s just say you should never grin at someone after you have just eaten a dragon fruit without checking your teeth for red stains and seeds. Yes, it was just a piece of fruit, but we thought it was very unprofessional to eat the guests food. Overall a disappointing stay.
