Consisting of a large living and sleeping area with a partitioned kitchen, the studio has a thoughtful layout to accommodate rest, relaxation and work. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a tub for bathing.
There is a study / workspace for those travelling on business.
Interaction with guests
We live within the same building, so when we're not at work we're always on hand to help if needed.
The Chinatown / Southside area is known, unsurprisingly, for its wide range of Chinese, Korean and Malaysian cuisine - but has much more to offer besides. The Arcadian Centre, just next door, has a wide range of cuisine from a steak and burger house to Mexican, as well as a number of bars - when you want nightlife, but don't want to be more than five minutes away from bed! If the theatre is more your cup of tea, Birmingham's most well known, the Hippodrome, is less than five minutes away on foot.
Well located, the area is just ten minutes from New Street station, with Moor Street and Snow Hill stations and Digbeth coach station reachable in under 20. Most of the major bus routes have stops nearby.
The city centre itself is less than ten minutes walk so you won't have far to carry all that shopping back!
Nearby, you'll also find the well known Digbeth area, known for being Birmingham's technology and live music hub.
Located in Birmingham's well-known Chinatown and adjacent to the gay village, the apartment is within ten minutes walk of New Street station, Bullring and Grand Central shopping centres. Moor Street station is less than 15 minutes walk, and you can be at Snow Hill station or Digbeth Coach Station in 20. You'll also be minutes walk away from bus stops served by most of the major bus routes in the city.
Other things to note
Good to know: there's a Tesco Express next door, open 6am-11pm, and another convenience store that is open 24 hours can be reached on foot in ten minutes.
Parking: while we are unable to provide parking on site, there is a very reasonable option which is literally next door - Pershore Street (open air) car park, which offers 24 hours of parking for just £4. If you prefer an enclosed option, there are two others less than 5 minutes walk away. There's also a range of street parking nearby, which is free at certain times of the day (check out Birmingham City Council's website for details on locations and pricing).
Early check in / Late check out: Please ask at the time of booking if you will require this. We're happy to accommodate these requests wherever we can. At weekends, this will usually be possible. On weekdays, it will depend on our availability on the day - we can confirm this for you.
Noise: being located on the side of the building facing away from most of the nearby bars helps keep the noise levels down, though at weekends you should expect the occasional loud drunken reveller on the streets below (this has never kept me awake personally, but if you are particularly sensitive to noise, it's worth being aware of)
This is a residential building with a mixture of singles, couples and families, so it's important to respect the neighbours by keeping noise levels down - particularly during the evenings.
If you're expecting someone else to stay with you in the apartment, we politely ask that you say so at the time of reservation. Amongst other things, this helps us put out the right number of towels!
Finally, while we encourage everyone to make full use of the facilities on offer, we ask that you wash up any dishes / glasses / utensils you may have used and leave them to dry, and turn off any heaters you may have switched on, before you depart.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund, including service fees.
