Montville Country Escape is set on 12.5 acres and boasts a boutique distillery - it is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, offering the opportunity to laze by the pool in summer, cosy up by the fire in winter and enjoy a complimentary gin tasting if convenient in our distillery. Hinterland wedding venues are close by, with the charming village of Montville 3 mins away. The stunning walks of Kondalilla National Park are 5 min and the glorious beaches of Mooloolaba are only 25 minutes away.

The space
Montville Country Escape is a bright and spacious home boasting three decks - all with magnificent views to the Coast. The main deck has a seating area plus an outdoor table setting for eight - along with a barbecue. The deck overlooks the saltwater pool where you can cool off whilst admiring the superb coastal views.

Three modern bathrooms serve four generous bedrooms, and in addition, a large rumpus room provides a getaway area for the kids.

There is a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up gourmet meals (should you be inspired!) and plenty of seating for everyone.

The house is very light with lots of glass to maximise the views. Cooling upstairs is provided by fans plus reverse cycle air conditioning. The bedrooms all have fans - either upright or ceiling. In winter, the log burner warms the house along with the reverse cycle air conditioning if needed.

There is plenty of storage with built-in and walk-in robes.
WiFi is available.

Andy also runs a boutique gin distillery on the acreage and can offer a complimentary tasting if market schedules allow.

Guest access
Guests can access the whole house and acreage. There are three houses scattered over the 12 + acres - each private from the other but, as with anywhere, please be mindful of the neighbours. Andy lives on the acreage but in a completely separate dwelling away from Montville Country Escape - you won't see me unless you needed! The other property is small AirBnB that is behind the main house with its own separate access.

Other things to note
This is NOT a party venue - as stated there are three properties scattered over the acreage and it is necessary to be respectful of the people living there.

Please do not Instant book if you wish to bring a pet - pets are by discretion and generally only small non-shedding dogs are allowed. Please send an enquiry with details of the dog/pet you wish to bring.

Please let us know how many cars are in your party so we can allocate a space for each car. We can accommodate up to four cars.

The absolute maximum number of guests we can accommodate is 8 and this includes any children over 2. This is a 2 storage building there is no stairgate, please keep this in mind.
The total number of guests also includes day guests. Unfortunately, any requests to exceed this number will have to be politely declined.

The property uses filtered rainwater, with a carbon filter, but is not treated.

The property also uses its own environmentally friendly sewage system. Please do not flush any nappies, make up wipes, flushable wipes or ladies' sanitary products down the toilet.

Firewood is available and a small amount of kindling will be made available to get you started - you can buy more locally if needed but there's also plenty to pick-up from the property :-) Note that the fireplace will likely have a small bed of ash left in the firebox which helps start a fire.

Neighbourhood highlights

Hunchy is set just off the escarpment of the Blackall Range about three minutes from the quaint town of Montville. It is perfectly situated for beach and bush. Kondallila National Park is a 10 minute drive and the beaches of Mooloolaba are 25 minutes away.

I am so excited to offer two Airbnb properties on my 12 and 1/2 acres property. Over a period of years I have worked hard to renovate Montville Country Escape and The Tractor Shed @ Montville Country Escape into stylish, comfortable spaces I would like to visit. The houses are completely detached with their own outdoor spaces and private entrances - but can be booked together. I live on the acreage in a separate house away from the AirBnBs.
