You’ll love my place because of our location (10 minute drive to the park) and being hosted by a local native family eager to share our culture and highlights of things to see n do in Monument Valley.
Our hogan has a power outlet for lighting, charging devices, or to enjoy a cup of coffee/tea. Wifi is available, but not guaranteed-therefore not charged.
We serve a small, free continental breakfast. Dinner is available upon request, please add to comments when reserving.

The space
Our hogan stay is like camping. It has an earth floor, NO running water, NO showers, NO AC. It is not for everyone. But the beds are comfortable; we provide sheets & towels.
The hogan does have a water igloo for drinking/washing; an electrical outlet for lighting, fan, & recharging gadgets. A BBQ grill is available for cooking indoor/outdoors.
We serve a Free complimentary breakfast. An outdoor portable restroom is facilitated with motion-censored light about 15 feet from the hogan.
Please turn off any lights, & close the door when checking out. Thank you!
There may be random grazing sheep, horses, and cows in the vicinity as open grazing is allowed on Navajoland .

Guest access
The road to our place is a graded dirt road. Cars can make the drive up; but very challenging for motorbikes. Not recommended.
Our restroom is a portable outhouse, unshared to other guests. It has automatic sensory lights, hand sanitizer, & sanitizing wipes.
There is a short hiking trail behind the Hogan to get a grand view of the monuments at sunset or sunrise.
Wifi is available, but not guaranteed. So its free.

Other things to note
Majority of residents on Navajo Reservation do not have street addresses. Neither do we, therefore please follow the map I enclose to you upon your confirmation.
We are just off highway 163, mile post 416 in ARIZONA. Look for our small, white sign to the left when driving in from Kayenta.
GPS & GOOGLE maps are NOT HELPFUL out here.
Navajo Nation is on DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME from March to October. Plan your travel schedule to UT, CO, & NM time.

Hello! Welcome to my bnb site! My name is Rosalyn, and I am a Navajo woman native to Monument Valley. I have four children and have been married for 24 years. I am very excited to have you as my guest (s)! I am living my dream of being your host as a small business owner. I speak my native language and have worked under the Navajo Nation Park for 5 years and my husband for over 15 years. I take pride in our Navajo land, language, traditions, and food. I am excited to share a frybread with you for breakfast with Navajo tea. We would be honored to host your visit while in Monument Valley, considered the 8th Wonder of the World! My travel experience is limited, but I'm anxious for you to share yours! Learning is a lifelong experience.
