About this listing
Neat and cosy apartment on the ground floor of a fully renovated house in the old village centre in Portese. The house is 200 m from the lake. It can host 2 adults (and a little child), breakfast included. Free wi-fi. Free parking nearby.
Located near the castle in Portese, in the old village centre, the house had been owned by my family for more than 150 years. The house was built in the 1850s as a farmhouse and it has been recently fully renovated. The typical external walls of natural stone have remained untouched, while the yard was refurbished.
The apartment, cosy and neat, measures about 50 square metres and it is located on the ground floor. It is naturally cool, so you won't need air conditioning, but fans are anyway provided. It has a comfortable living room with a wooden kitchen fully equipped, a romantic bedroom with parquet, a wrought iron bed and a private bathroom with shower. A crib is available, so little babies are welcome. Some pieces of furniture date back to the 19th Century - others, like the kitchen, are modern and functional.
Paintings and old pictures of the lake and my family show my family’s love for this little old house and our deep connection with the surroundings.
The courtyard main entrance is shared with the apartment on the first floor – where I live. The entrance of the ground floor apartment is independent. The porch is also available to our guests to enjoy a relaxing time or a nice meal in the open air.
