The space
Converted from the original croft cattle shed, the Cleadale Bothy offers basic self-catering accommodation for up to four people. Costs of £55 per night (regardless of number of people staying) include bedding, wood, gas and electricity.

The bothy is located on our organic sustainable croft at the northern end of Eigg with stunning views looking Westwards over the Atlantic Ocean towards the Isle of Rum.

New for 2013: Our house extension is now complete which means visitors have access to a shower and flushing toilet. On sunny days there is plenty of hot water from our solar water heater(URL HIDDEN)
Cleadale Bothy is a one room building with a wood burning stove, table and chairs, full size gas cooker (with up to date gas safety certificate), sink with cold running water and everything needed for basic self catering accommodation.

Sleeping accommodation comprises a double futon and raised single bed. An extra mattress can be placed under the single bed for a fourth person.

A compost toilet is situated close to the bothy.

As well as food and drink, visitors need to bring their own towels and a torch. We ask that outside shoes are removed when entering so a pair of inside shoes is advisable as the floor in the kitchen area is not carpeted. We provide a hand towel and tea-towel with the bedding.

Other things to note
Visitors cannot bring their car to Eigg. We meet everyone off the boat and bring them over to the accommodation. Please note there are only two boats per day in the summer and only four per week in the winter (end October - early April).
