The Garden Room is a perfect base for exploring Arundel & the surrounding area. This self-catering accommodation is in a peaceful rural setting amongst beautiful scenery. Relax and enjoy the beauty of the South Downs or explore walks and mountain bike trails. Great windsurfing spots close by. Pefect for Goodwood annual festivals. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). Comfy Double bed & additional small fold down sofa upstairs in mezzanine.

The space

The Garden Room is a self contained self-catered studio in the garden of a 500 year old thatched box framed Tudor cottage in Arundel.
This West Sussex self-catering accommodation sleeps 2 very comfortably on a double bed on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a small sofa bed, on a mezzanine platform in the eaves, accessed via a steep ship style ladder.

Underneath the mezzanine, there is a small kitchenette with gas hob, fridge and microwave.
The bathroom comprises a WC, sink and a powerful shower. There is constant hot water from the Garden Room's own boiler.
Flooring is wooden throughout. Double, wooden patio doors open onto a south facing patio area fronted by a well established rockery, with its own table and chairs.
The Garden Room is light and airy, decorated in fresh pastel colours and is open to the eaves.

As well as the patio doors, there is a stable style front door, and windows in the main living area as well as in the kitchenette and bathroom.

There are blinds on all the windows and floor length curtains on the patio doors.
Central heating is very efficient and again this is run from the boiler with thermostats on each radiator.
The building is slate roofed and timber clad very much in a New England style finished in cream paint with grey window and door frames.
Lots of flowers and shrubs abound around, making for a very charming place to stay

Guest access

You have access to parking on the road outside of the property. It is very safe and quiet. Access to the cottage is through a side gate from the road, which has private access into the cottage.

Other things to note

We have wifi connection but mobile reception is patchy. You get clear reception up the tree house!

A fantastic place! In a beautiful and peaceful rural location but still within easy reach of town. There is a great pub 5 minutes walk away which is well worth a visit. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away and was comfy and cosy. They say it's the little things that make the difference and the 'essentials' provided by Lyndy are a great little touch. Would highly recommend. Thanks Lyndy and family!

A spacious, well equipt and cosy retreat in such an amazing location. Within walking distance to Arundel, it's a great place to explore the area. Lyndy is a great host who will answer any questions you might have, or just leave you to it.

We had a lovely overnight stay at the cottage - such a charming place in beautiful surroundings. Quiet, comfortable and with everything we needed, it made a great base to explore the area. The little extras - bread, milk, tea, biscuits etc were a lovely and unexpected bonus. We walked to The George at Burpham for dinner, highly recommended. Thank you Lyndy for a great stay.

A real gem for a relaxing stay. Our host was in touch before hand to confirm all arrangements and all worked very smoothly. The location is very peaceful and set in a pretty village close to Arundel where we stopped at the excellent Pallant Deli to pick up supplies. The room was very well appointed with everything you need, and our host had organised milk, bread and some other essentials. Thank you for a wonderful night away.
