The GrandmaTeat Annexe is next to the 3 bed-roomed MaTeat cabin so it is very suitable for a family group with an older relative or two or a couple on their own. The location is near Loch Voil Hostel - among lochs and mountains. You’ll love it because of the view, the cosiness, the en suite bathroom, the fully independent kitchen and the outside sitting area with rain shelter and fireplace. It is all on one level and so very disabled friendly with paved parking immediately outside.

Idyllic location and comfortable accommodation. The only issue that I had was that the annexe is separated from a shared house by thin walls. The main house was shared by a large group and their party music made for a loud night. So if you are looking for a restful stay, it might…

My girlfriend and I stayed in the annex for two evenings. The setting is beautiful and Les gave us very good directions so we had no trouble finding it. We enjoyed visiting the neighbouring town of Callendar and recommend the Broch Cafe at Strathyre. We felt as though there were …

Staying at the cabin was so wonderful. We had a couple of amazing days outdoors and away from the busyness of work-life. The surroundings are stunning, and I wish we were there much longer than we were. The hut has everything you need and is located with beautiful views. If there…

A beautiful secluded spot between the Loch Voil and Doin, with views of the Braes of Balquhidder just to the north left us with breath taking mornings! Easy enough to get to (we did it by foot and car, the walk is amazing, albeit a bit long if you're worried about time, by car i…

If you are after a real getaway in a glorious setting, this is for you. The location is at the end of a four mile track, which does have some pot holes, but is easily reachable in any car. Once you have been up and down the track a couple of times you realise it's very easy. W…

If you are looking for a remote get-away in the Scottish countryside, this is the place for you! Beautiful scenery, cozy atmosphere, peaceful environment. Bring food, boardgames, a radio, and water-proofs. The flat was clean, shower was great, kitchen a bit incomplete. Good value…

Response from Les:
Apologies that pots and pans were short - people move them to the next door. You should have asked us and we hadn't noticed. They are back in place now.

Love travel, especially in the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Have visited India, China, USA and Mexico and even Siberia. Love countries with indigenous cultural traditions - like our very own Gaelic-speaking Scotland. Worked in Gaelic animation for 20 years. Before that there w…
