Me and my friend had a lovely time staying at The Beach Lodge. The listing - especially the photos - made us believe that we were staying in a shared room, but it turned out to be a two-bedroom entire house to ourselves! It was well furnished with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and lots of outdoors space to hang out. The beach is literally across the road. It’s about a 10mn scooter ride into Muri; you can also catch the bus, or hitch a ride really easily! Check in and check out were easy and flexible. All in all a lovely stay.
Nooroa's place is ideally situated right next to a white-sand beach in Titikaveka. The snorkeling out there is great, too, and not crowded. The self-contained unit is HUGE. The beds are comfy, the kitchen has good basic stuff (pots, pans, plates, etc), the grounds are well maintained, there's a grounds-keeper on site, the bathroom is big and the shower always had nice hot water. If you take the bus, just tell the drivers you're by the QR and they'll drop you off right in front of Nooroa's place. Also, Nooroa is a great host: she was very responsive by AirBnB messenger and by text. I'd definitely stay at her place again.
Thanks for a wonderful holiday Nooroa. Your house was perfect for our family, everything was there and there was plenty of room. We used the fully equipped kitchen to cook most of our meals, it really was a home away from home. The most special aspect is that it is literally across the road from the beach. Absolutely magical.
The Beach Lodge was an incredible place to stay. Nooroa was able to accommodate myself and 8 other students for the week and we had plenty of space to sleep as well as resources to cook, shower, wash laundry, and sit in the yard(which is large and receives a lot of sun). It was located along the best strip of the island in my opinion. Just a 10 minute drive from the town of Muri and right across the street from one of a few sand beach areas, it is hard to beat. I would highly recommend staying here as it was a pleasure dealing with Nooroa and her caretaker and offers a great value and location for families and large groups.
Thx Nooroa for accommodating my family of eight which includes 2 elderly woman and letting me stay on short notice(due to a very horrible and unpleasant experience with the Raina hotel management and a very unpleasant mother of the manager who lives in the complex)the beach Lodge is fantastic value, clean, lovely caretaker who helps, plenty of parking, plenty of beds, washing machine to wash your clothes, stuff u need to cook your food, even (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)'s and snorkles for swimming which is in the other unit(i rented 2 apartments)house is well ventilated due to the openness of the property, million dollar views looks straight out onto the beach, beach is across the road, shops are a short car or scooter ride away,(the property is great if your young ones wanna practice there scooter skills before hitting the road)the TV is the old analouge version,so the TV veiwing at night is like a blast to the past, but there is a DVD player which works and there is a shop down the road where u can buy the latest DVDs for 6 bucks, lol don't ask how,you will not be disappointed especially if u have a big family
