‘Ty Iago’ is a beautifully presented detached house in a very privileged position and available to book all year round. A superb location for families and only a stroll to the beach.
The beach and Coastal Path are on your doorstep and there is a pub/restaurant, Aqua bar/restaurant (seasonal), supermarket, gallery/cafe only a few minutes walk away.
This perfect relaxing retreat is also only 3 miles from the lively seaside village of Abersoch and is a delight at any time of year.

The space
A large stone-built detached house only moments from the beach and in fact the last house on your route down to the sea.
This fully equipped and stylish accommodation sleeps up to 10 (9 adults + child) guests and is fully double glazed. It was in fact originally the old shop selling sweets and buckets & spades!

The bedrooms are as follows:

1 Kingsize room with ensuite shower room & balcony.

3 Double rooms (one on ground floor).

1 single room.

1 child's single room (smaller bed, not suitable for adult)

A travel cot is available on request.

We provide everything you need for a relaxing stay including fresh linen and towels. These can be replenished weekly for longer stays.

Ground floor

A spacious kitchen with bench seating at a large wooden table for 10 people.
Utility room with washing machine/tumble dryer/oil boiler and additional freestanding fridge freezer.
Downstairs toilet and sink.
Conservatory with comfortable seating.
Recently refurbished and characterful double room.

The living room is large with sofas, soft seating, tables and TV (BT entertainment package) and DVD player.
This opens out into a dining area with a traditional dining table and chairs for 8 people. The hallway leads to the staircase and front door/porch. There is a storage cupboard here containing ironing board and hoover. The BT infinity Wifi router is on the bottom shelf of the hall table.

1st floor

An extensive landing with shelves of books, toys and games for adults and kids.
The bathroom is spacious with a freestanding roll-top bath and wooden floor. Box of bath toys for the kids!
The four double rooms are tastefully appointed and the King-size room has the luxury of not only an ensuite bathroom but also a door leading to a large balcony area.

The house is also listed on other social media (Instagram/ Fbook) for reviews prior to Airbnb listing.

Guest access
There is access to all areas of the property except a couple of storage areas and the shed.

Ty Iago has a substantial enclosed garden with a large decking and seating area. An additional patio and seating area are also adjacent to the kitchen. The balcony provides excellent outdoor cover from the elements if needed.

A Weber gas barbecue is available under the balcony which we have found to be very useful when catering for larger numbers.
Please clean the barbecue grill and under tray after use.

There are no 'owned' beach huts on Llanbedrog beach, only rentals on a weekly or seasonal basis through the National Trust.

Other things to note
Nearest supermaket/cashpoint (Londis) and Chemist are next to the Glyn y Weddw pub, less than 5 minutes walk straight up the hill from the front door.
Largest supermarket is Asda in Pwllheli. Spar, also in Pwllhelli (next to large car park) has won awards for sourcing local produce.

Location

Llanbedrog, Wales, United Kingdom

Set on the Llyn Peninsula, Llanbedrog is a tranquil village at most times of the year. In the school holidays, particularly Easter & Summer there are lots more visitors which brings a more vibrant feel to the village. There are sheltered beaches like Llanbedrog and Abersoch, or more exposed beaches like Hell's mouth" (Porth Neigwl) for some surfing, windsurfing or kite-surfing.
Nearby activities include golf, sailing, horse-riding, go-karting, paintballing and the Rabbit farm to name but a few. For the even more adventurous you can take a day trip hiking to the summit of Snowdon (or train if you'd prefer!), the Bear Grylls survival centre in Llanwystumdy, visiting the puffins at Bardsey, or the National White water rafting centre in Bala.

There are Jazz festivals and the Glass Butter Beach sport/music festival.
Sailing is popular on the Llyn with Pwllheli Sailing club and Abersoch sailing club nearby. Many major sailing competitions take place off the coast here.
Golf is well catered for with courses in Abersoch, Pwllheli, Criccieth, Nefyn and Porthmadog. It has been said that there are nearly as many golf courses as castles!
