Spacious treehouse like attic room with private bathroom

The space

Food: We have a small bar and restaurant on site, serving all 3 meals.
Breakfast ($5.50) is served from 8am to 10am, lunch ($6.90) from noon to 2pm, and dinner ($11 to $14.50) is served at 7pm. Happy hour is 5 to 7pm. We ask you to sign up for dinner daily by 2pm so as to make sure to have the appropriate amount of food available. Desserts and drinks available for an additional charge. To food prices we add the 7% ITBM tax.

Accommodations has a shared kitchen.
To avoid groddy community fridges, you will have your personal cooler and If you wish to keep anything cold you will need to bring a block of ice. These are only available at the COOL SHOP. Small ice cubes in bags will not last overnight. The taxi driver can make a quick stop there, it is on the way.

Water: trash is a huge issue for our little island so please do not purchase water in small plastic bottles. We sell 5-gallon (20 liter) refillable jugs here for $6, cheaper than buying individual bottles. Consider bringing refillable containers to take on your outings.

Hot water: we attempt to provide hot water to all of our accommodation. Once in a while, one of the water heater might need a new part or be replaced and we cannot guarantee immediate solution. So while we will always do our best,
please be aware of this.

Transport: we are 4 miles away from town. Taxi costs from 7am to 8pm - $15. If you arrive by plane or know your specific arrival time, let us know if you wish for us to coordinate a taxi for you.
As far as transport from elsewhere, we can arrange a shuttle/bus transfer to/from: Boquete, Panama City in Panama and Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time at Tesoro Escondido. We stayed in one of the upstairs attic rooms which was spacious as pictured and had a nice cross breeze in the evenings. Mary was the manager/host/chef extraordinaire for our 4 nights there, and her hospitality, smart suggestions of what to do/where to go, amazing dinners/cocktails, and just overall great conversation really made our entire trip to Bocas worthwhile. Seriously. After we left we went on to stay at an airbnb on Carenero island, and then another in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and really none of them matched up to this experience. (Not to mention there are some of the cutest dogs/pups/cats on the property, as well as monkeys hanging from above in the trees in the mornings)! While not the closest location to town, we didn't mind at all (and actually preferred it). We saw approx. 6 beaches throughout our entire stay, and Playa Bluff - a 3 min walk from the property- was definitely top #1 or #2. We also did an amazing boat tour called Bastimentos Alive with guides Antuan and Tom, which brought us to Cayo Zapatilla beach (turquoise water in Bocas); snorkeling at Cayo Coral; freshly prepared fish on a fire by Antuan, and drinks on the water. We highly recommend it! Thank you, Mary and crew, for truly making us feel at home and sending us back to NY with some of our favorite memories on the trip. We'll be back again!
