My apartment is situated in the heart of Dean Village, a tranquil area located 10 minutes from the busy city centre. It is a 10 minute walk to Princes Street with the Water of Leith, Stockbridge and the New Town close by. The apartment is small and cosy, located within a 19th century courtyard providing a unique charm to all of its guests. It is the perfect location for couples, solo travellers and business travellers.

The space

The apartment is very cosy, calm and close to the city centre. With it's simple interior and beautiful views of the courtyard, it is the perfect location to really experience Edinburgh and it's history

Guest access

Guests will have access to the Kitchen, Bathroom, Living room and private bedroom. Guests will have the whole apartment to themselves and are encouraged to use all the facilities.

Interaction with guests

I normally meet the guests when they arrive to hand over the keys and give them some information about the area if they would like.
Normally it's just a 5-10 minute chat and that is all the contact I have with guests.

Other things to note

The flat is on the third floor which may not me suitable for all age groups.
In addition, I would say the bed is slightly too low for elderly guests to get in and out of comfortably

Wonderful location, interesting and atmospheric building, comfortable flat, warm welcome. We just stayed one night but it made us feel we should book an Edinburgh holiday in the future. On the hillside going down to the Water of Leith, and the flat is up a number of stairs (as described on the website) - but even with some health complications I found it perfectly manageable. Altogether friendly and characterful.

The apartment is in a fantastic location for both scenary and proximity to the city centre. Dean's village is calm and quiet and the apartment is situated on a traditional looking courtyard. The place itself had everything we needed and we had no issues at all.

A great wee place to stay. Really quiet and beautiful location in Dean Village but extremely convenient; not much more than a 10 minute walk to Princes Street. Small but with everything you need.

Laura's place is located in a quiet, pretty area of Edinburgh. It is basic but had everything we needed for our short stay and is as described. Communication was spot on and issue with TV sorted within minutes! We had a great stay, thank you :)

We absolutely loved staying in Laura's place. A charming little property just a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of the city, perfect for a good night's sleep but also very convenient for exploring the area. The small flat had almost everything we needed (apart from a couple of basic kitchen bits and bobs), but for the price it was extremely reasonable. We'd highly recommend to anyone staying in the city for a couple of days that doesn't mind a walk in/out of town to get around. Laura also gave us a great restaurant recommendation, she and her partner Dave could not have been more helpful throughout.

Lovely flat in lovely surroundings. We didn't spend much time in the apartment - too busy exploring the Edinburgh festival - but when we checked in late on Tuesday evening it was clean, quiet and peaceful. Laura had let us leave our bags at their flat upstairs in the morning (another guest was using the apartment until 12pm) which was kind as it meant we had our hands free while we explored and saw shows, and when we checked in our bags were in the room waiting for us. Dean Village is just so pretty and the flat was cosy. Highly recommended. Thank you!
