Where you’ll be

Hinderclay, England, United Kingdom

Hinderclay is on the Norfolk/Suffolk border so we have the best of both counties. There are lovely walks in the surrounding areas. There are two pubs a five minute drive or 45 minutes walk along country footpaths if you're feeling adventurous . Hinderclay has its own fishing lakes. The Peddars Way begins just down the road and you can also join the Angles Way. The towns of Diss, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Norwich are all worth a visit, as are the beautiful Brecks, Thetford forest, Knettishall Heath, Bressingham steam museum and gardens, and the wonderful Suffolk coast with the annual Latitude festival.
The village of Rickinghall is a five minute drive away and here you will find a Co op, two pubs a chippy and a Chinese takeaway.
Wyken Vineyards is a 15 minute drive and has an award winning restaurant, beautiful garden, shop and weekly farmers market.,There are also print workshops run by Caroline Somerville and art workshops run by Sue Ecclestone at lilac cottage studio in the local village of Rickinghall.

I live in the Suffolk countryside. Love theatre, museums and film. Best thing about holidays is discovering new places and eating good food.

During your stay

We live next door to the cottage so we can be on hand for any help and advice on where to walk, places to visit etc, but will also respect your privacy.
