Dream Lodge offers guests an intimate, peaceful retreat within the beautiful mountains of Jarabacoa. The cabin is nestled within Quintas del Bosque (QdB), a development well-known for its mountain location with beautiful forest and panoramic views.

The space

Whether enjoying a glass of wine in front of the fireplace or morning coffee on the view deck, you will enjoy the tranquility of this home.

This home is small and functional - perfect for single, 1 couple or 2 couples but is not set up for groups over 4 persons.

Guest access

Dream Lodge is located in the exclusive Green Lodge area of Quintas del Bosque. In addition to the Dream Lodge private property, guests have access to the Green Lodge social area with infinity pool - 2 minute walk from Dream Lodge.

Interaction with guests

Michelle Thomen will finalize bookings, respond to your questions, and arrange for key transfer and cleaning. Michelle speaks native Spanish and fluent English.
Onsite QdB staff will meet guests and provide assistance if required during stay. QdB staff speak Spanish only.

Other things to note

Fred (cat) lives on the property. This is not the location for guests with cat allergies as Fred is inside when I am at the house. Guests who wish to bring a dog must provide description of dog and obtain approval prior to booking. Requests to bring cat will not be considered due to potential issues with Fred.

QdB is a gated mountain community with 24 hr security at each gate.

Due to slopes and railings with related safety issues, this property is available only to adults or adults with infants. Sorry but this is a FIRM rule.

During winter months please bring suitable clothing as this area gets chilly at night.

The BBQ is for charcoal briquettes - briquettes are not provided by owner. BBQ tools are located in laundry room.

Shirley's home is quaint and very comfortable. It is located in a beautiful project called Quintas del Bosque, just outside of Jarabacoa. Her home has amazing views over the valley and is fully equipped for anyone wishing to get away to the mountains. I would highly recommend her home to anyone on Airbnb.

The house is excellent and lovely. It has a great view of Jarabacoa [the town] since it is up in the mountain. We waited for the new year at the house, while watching the different fireworks going off [from the town and other houses]. The view from the house is great. As for the house, it is ideal for 2 - 4 guests, since it is not the largest house, but every space is taken advantage of. Highly recommend that you use a 4x4 vehicle to go, considering that the mountain is steep and when it rains it can be slippery.

Thank you Manuel - it was a pleasure having you visit my home. I'm glad you enjoyed the fireworks! I also appreciate the feedback. Yes, a 4x4 vehicle is required - the roads are still a work in progress! I hope you will visit again.

I had the unique opportunity to work in the DR, and came to appreciate the beauty and the culture. My long term housing dream was to build a log cabin in the mountains - little did I know back then that this dream would be realized in the mountains of Jarabacoa, Republica Dominic…
